Deadmines as horde?

September 25, 2006 By Gitr 7 Comments

How is it that one gets to the Deadmines as Horde on a PvP server? I have found my way to the blimp camp in Stranglethorn Vale, but that’s an impossible run for a level 18, I should think. I’d really like to get the ring that drops from the Goblin boss. I don’t think that Cookie’s wand is going to be all that much of a factor for improving what I’ve got, but that would be nice, too. I just don’t want to do 15 runs through DM with Deadr like I did with Priestr on Sen’jin. That was too much.

Usually, I think the way to go as a low level, is to make the swim up from Grom’gol, but I could be wrong ๐Ÿ™‚

Never done DM as Horde. However I would imagine that one would swim N from Grom Gol. Stay far enough out to avoid the coast, but not far enough to get the sharks. My ~20 alliance rogue swam from Westfall to the Zandalar island without incident (bored and exploring).

THAT’S beyond bored. I’m not much of one to talk, though. I tried to go from Menethil to South Shore one day.

Yeah, most Horde players don’t bother with Deadmines (yeah, you have to swim). There are no quests, so you’d only be going for loot.

If you haven’t ran Ragefire Chasm in Org, then do that once just to see the wonderfully lame instance. You can run Wailing Caverns at 18, so I’d get the Leaders of the Fang quest. You’ll have the Crescent Staff (+7int, +7stam, +7spr) for a very long time.

hi, today me (shaman, lvl 18) and a friend (mage,28) tried to go DM. Took ship from ratchet then made a run for it ๐Ÿ˜€ died like 6 times on the way (2 times by gorila, 2 times by some nasty wolfs or what), 1 by alliance rogue “camping” at a spirit healer. by the time i got to the mine, all my items were at 0 durability. ๐Ÿ˜€ then we got killed a few times by some lvl 18-27 alliance groups so not much exp and loot, but it was quite fun/interesting. in the end the best thing was i got 3 alliance kills and 1 honor estimated ๐Ÿ˜€ lol

heh, i am just going to keep /who to see if any horde are IN Westfall already and just have then summon me from the summoning stone (yes it works for horde too)… i would like to get some of the loot for my lowbie rogue, but im not going to make the run out there for stuff that is gonna be obsolete in a few lvls…

One reason I recommend running deadmines but neccesarily at a low level is for the world drops in the area. I need recipes and that’s handy.

I recommend what Team Black suggested. Join a guild get some higher levels to get there and then have them teleport you with the warpstone.

    Good luck!
