It seems that Gitr’s WoW Blog is experiencing exponential growth right now. As of today, the blog has over 200 more visits this month than in all of October. November was really crazy because of a link from Tobold’s blog that put me on the map for two wild days of clicking away.
This is nothing like the growth that DM Osbon has had. His blog is very young, yet on December 6th, he had 8,500 hits! He has been averaging about 500 hits per day, so he is offering people what they want, evidenced in his visitors coming from direct bookmarks, not searches. Congrats, DM Osbon!
Right now, it looks like most of my visits are from Google searches. The blog has become quite the repository of keywords from my travels with Gitr, Priestr, and now Deadr. Between the three toons, the blog covers levels 1-60, and every dungeon up to MC. Gitr never got past Garr, as seen in Garr Down, but that’s still a heck of a lot of data. 8MB of text, to be exact.
I’m guessing that, every now and then, a reader who Googled Gitr will bookmark the blog and come back. If you are one of those people, and I’m aware of several of you in the last 2 months, what is it that keeps you coming back, despite the lackluster playing time Deadr has? What more can I offer you? I write this compendium for you all, so help me help you.
Thanks all for coming, and if you are new, welcome home.
I have no clue why i come here xD I love most WoW-related blogs i just like the feel of this site and your posts lol. you post daily (usually) and well..i just like the topics you talk about whether it is leveling or mods or…just..dunno hahaha…once i found this site, i put it on my bookmark, and just kept with it!
Glad to have you as a reader.
Jesse thanks for the write up here…the 6th saw my blog hits rise to 14,000+ due to a post about the upcoming WoW patch & has been the heaviest post with readers comments since I started my blog. Since that day the SPAM I have been getting has increased wildly!
Would you like my list of Bannage plug-in server IPs? My spam has decreased since then, because they never even get through.
ok sure could you mail it to my gmail address, thanks Jesse.
