Aeigelus’ stuff is being stolen

January 11, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I just hopped over toย Aeigelus’ site and found that his feed content is being stolen by another site. However, this is not being done by a smart person. Look at this carefully and laugh at the foolishness:

I went and checked out that site and it looks like they are yanking much more then just Aeigelus’ and wowinsiders stuff. I surf alot of blogs and have an almost photographic memory(I rule at pattern recognition) and i saw a whole lot of stolen content from all over. Yeah the wowinsider stuff didnt even have the images edited out. I also recognize a few other blog entires. It doesnt seem to have any format other then regurgitaion of blog entries, looks almost automated or just poorly done. They makers might beattempting to copy killtenrats format theme. At least they link and post original authors there.

My blog posts have also been stolen from these guys. They seem to have that website registered with GoDaddy and should be really easy to get shut down.

Some people need to get off their butt and create their own content not just steal from other people. (Sorry for the rant but it makes me mad.)

I’ll have to make a post like the one above on my blog to see if it gets republished also. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is just bad form. These guys are just stealing content to rank high on the search engines in order to get clicks on their ads. The best way to deal with them is to register a complaint with Google.

If Google get enough complaints about stolen content, they remove the offending domains from their search results. They’ll even ban the accounts used for advertising.

Btw, I love the new look of the blog. It’s a very nice, clean look.

I stumbled across this site: http://www.copyscape.com/ you place your url in the field & your are given a report on any activity that resembles words on your blog posts. I had 3, 1 was close to what I had said about warlock respeccing but nothing serious..maybe worth a try?!

Now that is cool! I tried it and got one hit. It was pretty accurate, but not mine. It almost looks like I copied it, except this is in reference to Warcraft 3’s release:

They ordered 300 extra regular version for the shelves, so showing up during lunch break would have been fine
