Things I am looking forward to this year

January 11, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

I hate New Year’s Resolutions! They are so cliche and totally untrustworthy when someone says they are going to do something this year. My first reaction is to say, “yeah, right,” and my second reaction is to not pay attention to what they say their resolution is.

Some weirdo was on our Tampa news radio station last week saying that you need to tell yourself that it is a promise, not a resolution, but that is crap too. Major, legal, binding promises are broken by more than 50% of the population: divorce.

This list is different, as it is a list of what is expected to happen this year, not what I am going to “try” to change or accomplish.

  • Attending summer session at USF.
  • Paying off my car.
  • Getting my wife settled in a new job that uses her degree.
  • Our first anniversary.
  • My first trip to Canada.
  • Working my butt off to get another promotion.
  • Tapping into whatever it is that I will use to “make a difference.”

What are you going to do with your life this year?

I was thinking about playing some video games. I just picked up a used copy of FFCrystal Cronicles and after a few minutes of confusion have gotten to really like the battle system. I have actually played very little WOW for about a week in order to mend some fences with the wifey. I also have picked up my GBA SP and fooled around with it too. I know i will be buying the BC but not until February most likly. By that time a good chunk of what ever bugs happen will be delt with and opening areas will have lighter populations. I will see how much game time I will be allowed once i get me a copy. (Yeas allowed, the wife is preggers and emo, so much love and attention need to be placed upon her)
Im pretty sure that wife willing i will still be playing WOW for awhile. I still have not gotten bored with it yet.

Ohhhh…pregger wife and wanting to keep playing…rough. My wife finally doesn’t feel like I want to play more than being with her. I have been very restrictive in my playtime to only the times when she doesn’t care what I’m doing because she is busy doing her own thing.

I’m guaranteed an hour + in the mornings when she is getting ready for work and an hour at night when I’m huffing my aerosols. When BC comes out and I hit 60, I will likely stay up late one night per week to raid, switching which night so I can go to different instances.

BTW, how come you don’t have a blog, Mindkiller? With a name like that, you should. 🙂

I do have a blog….sorta its just a journal i stated back in the begining. Then my main was a hunter but through some issues with game time on one account I made a Gnome rogue on a newer account….its complicated but I did document it on my site. Its at http://raisingcoat.blogspot.com/
I dont update much cuz not much goin on and I know even less about web design then the average fire hydrant so it doesn’t have any bells and whistles. I named the site after my first hunter pet which I rarly use now.
