Three More Quest Rewards in Hellfire

January 19, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

Gitr went to Blasted Lands after Oz gently reminded me that the Servants are great weapon levelers. I went and did just that, afte flying to Stormwind to sell off some Major Mana potions and to buy another dagger and some bandages.

Bandages are on the cheap now because everyone is making them to level their First Aid to use the Netherweave Cloth to make bandages. I logged last night with 7 cloth and got some more this morning. I’ll store them in the bank until I level up my First Aid. I just wish Deadr could send Gitr all of the Runecloth he’s getting from mobs.

I got a cheap level 37 dagger to equip in both hands for maximum skill learning, 20 Heavy Runecloth Bandages, and headed back to whack the Servant. I got my daggers up to 290 before heading back to Hellfire Peninsula. I figured that one axe and one dagger will eventually level my dagger while still letting me get some damage using the axe. Besides, I ran out of bandages. 🙂

I got over to Expedition Point and got a couple of quests. The first one involved killing the demons by the portals that I took a screenshot of in my Burning Crusade Gallery earlier. I grouped with a kick-butt rogue that made the work almost too easy to deserve me reward.

The next quest was a boming run of 2 gateways. Let me just say this about bombing runs: THEY ROCK!! The method was totally intuitive based on past WoW experiences, as the grif flys itself, and you just right-click the bomb and cursor over where you want it to go boom! You see it falling and then the quest status updates. Ready for the next bomb. I did it in one run and got another ridiculously nice reward. The shot of me from last night is that breastplate and leggings. I just changed the interface this morning to show the helm, so my next shots will include my other reward.

Then the same bombing questgiver sent me to a floating rock with a tower to start another bombing run of Abyssal Shelf and kill all kinds of things. It probably took me 5-6 tries to kill them all because I was competing for mobs with other bombers. They were there, and then they weren’t. I re-ran it this morning and did it in one run, but I didn’t notice any XP, rep, or gold.

Refore I left for work this morning, I ran a quest at Honor Point with a priest that was kind of tough because there are cannons all over that aggro you as you’re fighting other things. The reward was only 2g, but the next quest is to kill 3 cannons. I’m looking forward to that tonight.

Here are the quest rewards for the quests I ran last night:

Disrupt Their Reinforcements rewards:

Shadowbrim Travel Hat
Flayer-Hide Leggings
Arcane Ringed Tunic
Invader’s Greathelm *
Fire Scarred Breastplate

Mission: The Murketh and Shaadraz Gateways rewards:

Battle Scarred Leggings
Helm of Infinite Visions
Raging Spirit Harness
Protectorate Breastplate *

Mission: The Abyssal Shelf rewards:

Whispering Tunic
Veteran’s Skullcap
Arcane Ringed Greaves
Skyfire Greaves

I am so jealous of all my Level 60+ Guildies, I have a 60 Rogue. Most of them got their copies of the BC on or near the release date. I however am broker then the liberty bell. How ever there is a possiblity of a Guildie helpin me and my wife out with some free swag he gets as part of his job. I might get me a copy or two by the middle of next week. I am depressed, not because of the loot I see linked but the fun that my freinds are having. I have been hiding on level 17 preist i am struggling to level up. Man I can’t see how some one has the will power to level one of these up. Gruelin to say the least. Looking forward to the bombing runs though. From what i have seen it reminds me of Rogue Squadron bombing missions.

I took a screen of the bombing this morning but didn’t process it yet. I shall put it up soon. As you fly over, you can see either the international “no” symbol or a cool looking pattern on the ground where the blast effect will hit. Neato.

I have decided, btw, to level Deadr out anyway. With the loot that I see dropping for these quests and my intense desire to be able to shield and HEAL myself during battle, I want to go back to priest.

I must say, though, that being a warrior this morning and grouping with a priest was dang fun! I just ran around smacking the heck out of everything and watching his mana.
