Two Hours From Level 55

January 20, 2007 By Gitr 2 Comments

I wasn’t tired last night and played until midnight after working a 47 hour week. Crazy, I know, especially since I woke up at 4:15 this morning to get into work early today. The wife and I are going to Canada next month and I only get 40 hours that week that I’m taking vacation time, so I need to buff up my paychecks before to cover for that usual budget padding and to allow us to spend a night or two in a hotel instead of the rest area. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hopped on Deadr and played him like a king, trying to get him to 58 to get into Hellfire Peninsula as soon as possible. Aeigelus was already at 65, as was one of our officer this morning. I should be able to find someone to help cover my butt as I get into the new area, since we are on a PvP server. Someone was screaming in guild chat that he has yet to be killed by less than 2 Alliance with more than 50% health so far. I don’t understand why people aren’t just playing to level so far. Why would you want to waste your time killing the opposite faction instead of a quest mob? Nuts.

First off was to level up my First Aid. I read a priest guide that said that seems unnecessary because you can heal, but it’s mana-free. That made sense, so I got Deadr up to 225 for about 20g. I paid way too much for my Expert manual, but I really didn’t want to go to pick it up, so I bought it for 5g instead of 4g. I don’t care, because it would have taken more time to do that then it would to level up and start killing things again. The trauma quest was easier than it was for Alliance because there wasn’t any spinning involved. It took me 2 tries because I didn’t realize which ones were badly injured until 3 of them disappeared at once. Maybe I should have looked at the tooltip when I hovered over them. ๐Ÿ™‚

I finished the quest for killing the Moontouched Owlbeasts and *YAY!!!* the Pristine Yeti Horn dropped off a yeti just inside the cave in the yeti area of Winterspring. I ran back and turned it in and got the Umi’s Mechanical Yeti quest. I scared Legacki in Winterspring and flew to Felwood to turn in the Owlbeast quest and picked up the next one for Crazed Owlbeasts. Then I flew on to Gadgetzan and Un’Goro to scare Sprinkle and Quixxil. It took a while to find Quixxil because there was a tree in the way and I had to ride out to the edge and look back. As I got there to release the yeti, a 60 Alliance rode over, dismounted, whacked me, and hearthed, along with his 48 buddy. I took a picture of the jerk and I’ll make his shameful act public when I get back home from work. Here they are:

After I ran ALL the way back to my body and flew back to Everlook, I got my Mechanical Yeti. I used him in Silithus with Gitr one time. It’s fun to have a little buddy for 10 minutes. I should be able to heal him and have a mini-tank now. ๐Ÿ™‚

You can play as usual. You can’t go through the portal, can’t roll the new races, and can get your butt kicked by a level 65-70 now. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good luck on the exams, bud.
