Deadr to Reset Talents Tonight

January 24, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

I have done some considerable reading and ran with a priest in Outlands that was Discipline tree. He said it was a really nice blend of healing and damage abilities. After running through a talent calculator, I think I like the outcome of what I plugged in. My goal is to overcome the loss of Shadow Damage with Mana increases and overall independence from Shadow-only play.

What do you think of using this to run into Outlands with? The last points to go in will be in the Holy Tree. I will be 46/5/0.

Meh. Stay shadow, better for grinding…unless the point is to heal others all the way to 70.

Quick question, how do you reset your talents?

You need to go to any of your class’ trainers and tell them that is what you want to do…’Unlearn my talents’ or something like that. They will confirm that is what you want to do and make you fork over some gold for it. Careful, it gets more expensive each time.

Thanks, Vorenis. I didn’t know you read this. šŸ™‚ Cool.

Well, I was just looking at all the stats for the build above, and I’m still confused as to why people stay Shadow until they become a healbot. My problem with my Shadow build is that I have to drink every 2 mobs when I’m fighting 58-60s. I’m not really comfortable fighting a 60 with less than 75% mana. The only thing that I gain with Shadow is damage, and mostly Shadow damage.

This build has mana + damage in the following amounts:

    30% increase in Fortitude
    15% Mana while casting
10% reduction in mana cost of instant spells
    10% increase in maximum mana
    40 Spirit increase
    5% damage
    5% crit
5% increase in STA INT and SPI
50% damage taken by bubble reflected with no threat
20% increase in dmg and healing every 3 minutes

Isn’t that a bit more ability to play with than I have with Shadow? I think the only thing I will miss is Mind Flay, but I don’t know, because Shadow is the only build I have ever had.

Is there any way to calculate my damage/mana with my gear with a build that I don’t have yet?
