I have long been saying that I’d be taking Deadr into Hellfire Peninsula as soon as he hit 58. I wasn’t kidding. I was on a bat within 5 minutes of dinging. I only took the time to repair and train up before getting Deadr on a bat.
In this post, I am detailing my journey through the Outlands as of yet. I logged off at 16% of the way through level 58, and it came really, really fast (40 minutes, including getting there). I couldn’t believe how much easier HP is for Deadr than Mr. Level 60 Gitr. ๐
On the staircase just inside the Portal, I picked up Arrival in Outland, which sent me to the right to the Horde FlightMaster, Viagga Freyfeather. She gave me the quest, Journey to Thrallmar, which only takes hopping on a windrider and going to Thrallmar, the Horde base camp.
Upon arrival in Thralmar, you greet a soldier by the flight point (I’ll insert the name later) and he sends you outside to speak with Sergeant Shatterskull, who is just East of the gate, down by some supplies.
Before you go outside the walls, go see Megzeg Nukklebust who will give you the quest, I Work…For the Horde! This one is really easy, and just requires you running around as usual and picking up 8 Salvaged Metal and 8 Salvaged Wood, very reminiscent of the broken race car parts quest from Shimmering Flats. I also picked up Eradicate the Burning Legion and Bonechewer Blood, which I will detail when I get to those tonight.
Sergeant Shatterskull gives you Felspark Ravine, which parallels the Alliance quest of killing demons in The Path of Anguish. It also requests 6 Infernal Warbringers, 4 Flamewalker Imps, and 1 Dreadcaller to die. This was far, far, easier than with Gitr.
I’d been fighting things harder than these in Eastern Plaguelands the night before. The Imps die on their own after putting Shadow Word: Pain on them. ๐ I returned to Sergeant Shatterskull with my kills and he gave me The Staff of Twin Worlds and sent me away to speak with Forward Commander To’arch for Forward Base: Reaver’s Fall. I’ll do that when I get home.
As I turned in my quest, a very strange thing happened. This dude shouted this, and the NPCs were all under attack from Infernals, I was stunned, but not hurt, and it was all over in 30 seconds.
No tripย to Outlands with 300 skill in any trade would be complete without getting some skillz, so I saw Dalinna, theย Tailor, and got me an upgrade on my abilities.

My spell damage increased to 91 for all spells, I have over 2000 armor with Inner Fire, 3100 HP, and almost 5200 MP. It’s time to rock!

I may want to get some quests out of the way to get some uber gear before running a 5-man, but we should be golden in a day or two.

Man, I just loaded up on 8 quests for all over the place in HP. I got a new wand, too.
You want quests? I finally completed all the Hellfire quests and went into Zangermarsh. I had almost 15 quests going at one tiem. I took the time to complete them al before turning them in and picked up another 13 quests. After such a long run I went for a tour of the outlands on my spiffy epic mistsaber. I basicly went through Blades edge and most of netherstorm(At 62 mind you). After all this running I got my minning to 355 and a crap load of Fel Iron, eternium and adamantite.
PS Nagrand is beautiful!! and netherstorm has some awsome sites to see. Didnt get to shadowmoon though. Mybe next time i get a jones to explore.
I really need to level my mining to 300, but I can’t bear to leave Outlands now. There will be plenty of time for mining, I suppose.
I think it’s time to dump ALL of my old world quests when I get home.
HA when I got to Outland I had atleast 10 quests fromt he old world. Most were for the higher dungeons. BWL MC and a few elite/raid world pvp and such. I dropped them as soon as I realized they would never be completed and never needed to be. I still havent been inside a new instance yet just because of time constraints and right now level ones too as the hardcore in my guild have far surpassed my level. Hell they also had the game a week before I did. I so want to hit some dungeons soon.
I think I shall wait until I’m 61 to go into my first instance, because of my lack of Healing talent points. I should be able to make up for it in gear by then.
When I get to Shattrath City, I’ll start playing the AH again, but it’s not worth my time to fly back because I’m getting good money from drops, quests, and humanoid kills.
One thing I need to do, though is get attuned for Ony, because I STILL have yet to go up against her. It’s not about the loot, it’s about seeing a great instance.
good point gitr. i have never raided. and my time zone makes it hard at the moment. but when i am 70 i have friends in guilds that will get me in, and i like you shall see ony.
