Ding 62, Hellow Shadow Word: Death

February 9, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

Deadr dinged last night after dinner and I gained 3 training skill, including the new Shadow Word: Death spell. I really like how it drops something NOW just like Gitr’s Execute, only regardless of rage. I always have mana, but Gitr didn’t always have rage.

I re-rolled Bloodr as a female BE hunter. That’s right, my first female toon. I played her this morning after finishing a couple of things with Deadr (finally finished disabling the 4 pumping stations). I got her to level 4 pretty quickly by finishing all 5 quests that I picked up at one time. I’ll kill the trees tonight and move on to the village to pick up my trades (skinning and leatherworking) and get my gold that Deadr sent.

I finished several Zangarmarsh quests last night, but I had read yesterday that if you do all of the quests and then run the instances, you will get locked out of getting reputation in the instances, whereas if you get rep from the instances all the way until that stops at Honored, you get to Revered by doing the quests.

I will likely be leveling Bloodr now to play with Kelthais when he’s on. A pally with a hunter should be a very nice combo. I chose a hunter because it is easy to solo, it was my first class, it forces you to do cooking, and I want to be a leatherworker.ย This time, I’m going all the way with it, too. By playing Bloodr, I will extend my enjoyment of the expansion with Deadr, but I will still play him quite a bit to make progress to be able to run the end-game stuff with the guild.

I got a nice chestpiece, belt,ย and boots from quest rewards, but everything is an ugly mishmash that is really hard to look at from the front. At least the cloak hides stuff from my view. Deadr certainly won’t be getting lost in a blizzard (no pun intended) any time soon.

I love the Execute on my warrior but like you said there is not always the rage and also i hate waiting till the mobs are at 20%.

All my toons are female because they are either cuter or sexier than the male models. “Adorable” is the highest standard to which one can strive in crafting an online avatar.

I was going for “smoking hot” to see if I can really bug guys with my avatar’s hotness and get some free stuff out of it. I’m interested in the ‘women of warcraft’ topic now that I’ve been reading Mystic Worlds and listening to her podcast.
