Ding 20; Starting the Level 20 Quest

February 22, 2007 By Gitr 11 Comments

I haven’t made it back to the trainers yet, but I got to Silvermoon before logging. It’s time for bed to see what neat tricks I’ve learned.

Thanks for all of the support of the guild and blog while I’ve been on vacation. Tomorrow the wife and I are going to the science museum and hitting St. Hubert’s again. Being a skinny dude, I’m really saying something to say I think I’ve gained 10 pounds this week (after putting on 20 since our wedding). YAY!

Because of Excaliber’s tip, I’m going all Beastmaster so far, and put my last point in the Beastial Speed talent.

    My Nelf Hunter is level 61 now. Except for a respec to Marksmanship, twice, lasting 30 minutes each tops, he’s been Beast Mastery for the entire time. It’s definitely the soloists tree, and having a pet that’s actually useful is nice. And in the Battlegrounds, a big red cat (prowl, dash, & claw) is a warlocks bane. Every two minutes (cooldown on Bestial Wrath) I was guaranteed a warlock kill. Now only if pets could have their version of the Forsaken’s Cannibilize. I don’t know, a Strip Flesh ability to recover health and focus. ๐Ÿ™‚

    But, yes, my vote is for BM too.

    Great to know I’m on the right track. Thanks, Kinless. I’ll catch up with Ex and Tomas in no time with my pet. The kill rate is insane.

    ….grrr ifn I wasn’t constrained by a promise I could concievably be at 17+. However I did make a promise to level with the wife…..too bad she plays less then 5% of the time I do. Though I have been making bank on the New Mindkiller. Stuff is ridiculously priced on BL-Horde

    True Mindkiller, but with this kind of economy it’s also very easy to make money, or so I’ve found it thus far ๐Ÿ™‚

    You know – I haven’t noticed prices being bad on BL – just that there really isn’t all that *much* on the AH…

    (that’s likely just perspective where I came from, what I’m used to – etc)

    Still, I’ve been digging around for a new pair of shoulders for Sunforge and can’t find crap but grays for his level.

    I’ll look again tonight.

    Is BL Alliance heavy?. I noticed the same difference in the horde on my home server. Made a horde character to check prices. I was researching the possibility of farming with alliance and transfering stuff to a horde char. It would have been ridiculously profitable if h ad the time to invest. With 2 acounts and 2 boxes it would have been feasable.

    Ill just keep mining my heart out and selling the ore for ridiculous prices. I’ll easily hit 100g by level 25.

    It is alliance heavy, maybe 3:2 or so. I did ore with Deadr to start and made 1-2g per stack as level 5-15. It was awesome.

    ~Snow~ I have found that being a tailor so far I have been able to make better gear than I have received as quest rewards. I enjoy it however I am sorry to say that I am unable to help my husband gear up being that he wears the leather stuffs… I am also SO SO SO very sorry that he is being forced to halt his leveling because I am OH SO PREGNANT and find it hard to stay up past a certain hour at night. I try believe me, just really hard. I have about 4-5 weeks left not sure the actual calculation but we are going to be come the proud parents of baby #3 Michael James on April 4 2007… At about 5:30pm or at least that is the givien time for the c-section… After that hopefully I will feel 30lbs lighter and be able to stay awake more… Keep your head up babe you can level soon and in the mean-time keep making that monies…

    Snow=)
