Ding 21; Took down Dar’Khan Undermanned

February 26, 2007 By Gitr 6 Comments

I got on tonight with Mindkiller and his wife, Snowstormer. They are both 17s as a rogue and mage, respectively. We took Deatholme by storm and took out Dar’Khan after several bad respawns. I learned a lot about pulling as a hunter in groups and they were quite patient with my mistakes that killed us 4 times. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got the Farstrider’s Longbow and dinged when I turned in the quest. I noticed that I have 500 rep to go for exalted with Tranquillien, so I’m off to see if I can get the rest.

Just like any new encounter….we needed to practice. Not only did you perform well, you also took the advice given. We learned how to work as a group with our particular combination of classes. In those tight quarters it was difficult enough. Tack on the fast respawns and you got a reason why this quest was marked 5 man. I think we got better with each attempt. Perhaps if we were able to bounce aggro between you, catr and mindkiller we would have all survived. Meh he went down. The fun part was getting the screen shot in between spawns and then fighting our way back out with out dying. No epic drop though…..that makes me a sad panda.

An epic drop would have been the icing on the cake! It was pretty fun to have to hurry up with the shot before the roof caved in on us with those crazy respawns.

I’ll bet it respawns faster with a 5-man because of the new formulas they use for respawn rates.

I’ll meet you in Tirifal and Kalimdor soon. I’m going on a pet-taming frenzy to learn new skillz, but keep Catr in the stable to keep leveling him.

Damn! sorry I missed that last night. I was having a small war with FEDEX and much to my embarrassment – they won. After driving all over Little Rock last night trying to find the depot (using an incorrect street address given to me by the FEDEX folk) – I managed to finally get the good news that my new system was safely tucked away in a holding point some 40 miles away…despite the fact it was supposed to be diverted to the depot by 5:45pm last night…Grrr….All said I didn’t get home until almost 9pm.

My new laptop will hopefully be dropped off at my doorstep today…hopefully…

Sun is stuck at 26 right now and is hanging out in 1k Needles. Hopefully I’ll be on tonight.

Well you learn faster then I do. I am a first time Mage really. I have tried the guise on before but this is the first time I have really put into it any effort to learn my abilities and use them for the Greater Horde. I am just glad that I have a group of people that are willing to be patient enough to help me learn.

Meh I still wish I had gotten a screen of you jumping in and frost nova’n everything..
    Frost bolt FTW.

I think having 3 there helped alot. If it was fast spawnign with just us it would have been hell with 5.

[…] Monkeys a waste. I’ll never forget that time in Deatholme with Mind and Snow when we tried taking down Dar’Khan way undermanned. Or that time I cleared half of Bael’dun in one pull and emptied the big chamber in […]
