Help me out; Riding Skills Information

March 8, 2007 By Gitr 8 Comments

Ok. I suck. I’m at work. I’ve got firewalls out the ying-yang, and I can’t access any information on riding skills in a nice, concise, un-blocked place. What do I need to get a Flying mount at 70? What do I need for a fast flying mount at 70? Should I go ahead and get the fast riding skill from Undercity or Org where I’m Honored and buy a fast horsie first?

I dunno. I’m too busy playing at night ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Can you even get flying training in Azeroth?

    I thought the trainers for those skills are in the Oulands. I think the Alliance’s is in Shadowmoon. Not sure though. I will have to wait till I get home to find that out too.

    I know you can’t get flying in 2.0 Azeroth…it’s a matter of if I need fast riding in order to train for flying or if flying is stand-alone…you get the picture…I think. Busy brain right now.

    I think it works the same as the ground mounts. You have to have the lower skill to get the higher one. Ie Flyings skill 225 then flying skill 300 for epic.

    All of these prices is with no rep bonus to the prices.

    75 Skill = 90 gold -> Normal Mount 10 gold
    150 Skill = 600 gold -> Epic Mount 100 gold
    225 Skill = 800 gold -> Flying Mount 100 gold
    300 Skill = 5000 gold -> Swift Flying Mount 200 gold

    Thanks, Jikksta!

    So, in summary, I need to spend a maximum of 1,400g + 100g for a Flying Mount + another 100g if I want to ride faster through level 70.

    Time to make some more bags and Primal Mooncloth. Anyone got a cooldown time machine?

    Now there’s an excellent idea for an Engineering trinket:
    Use: Eliminates all cooldowns, and by all we mean the whole enchillada.

    Universal cooldowner
    Bind on use
    Use: Eliminates all cooldowns, and by all we mean the whole enchillada.

    Warning!
    This device explodes on use. Hence, why it becomes “soulbound”.
