I have a meeting with my boss and our director (her boss) about integrating my db with the SharePoint site and tracking documents from their contract date onward instead of just their due dates. Yesterday’s new release was a smashing success and I incorporated User Security so we can distribute access to other people in the Company for Read-Only access. (no pictures this time, sorry)
At the end of our quarterly lunch, I mozied over to talk to our VP (the director’s boss) and mentioned my upcoming plans for the db (of which he was made aware of last month) and he was pretty darn interested in developing it further…yeah…let’s make my career do the same thing…
Time to go take care of my nervous bladder and head on over to the other side of the building.
Gratz and good luck with the DB. Maybe you can get a monster raise and go on a shopping spree and the Kids Gap Near you.
HEY!! I resemble that remark.
Gratz!!! That’s great news, and from a Corporate environment too :o!!!
Knock their socks off mate and make sure they pay you out the wazzooo. At least a new job title, “VP of Database Development” 🙂
Nah more like “Custodial Engineer Assistant to the VP of Database Development”
English translation:
The VP’s cleaning lady’s assistant.
lol – I was wondering what was causing the flood of posts.
Holy Cat Gutz, Gitr – PACE YOURSELF!!
(grats too amigo – nice work)
I’m on a roll…4th bottle of Coke, that is. My boss just told me to get off the sugar when I e-mailed her and asked if I could put “VP of Database Development” in my e-mail signature.
Grats I wish i was smart enough to do more with computers than turn it on and push buttons. Oh and their is absolutely nothing wrong with having to shop in kids sections. Especially when it comes to shoes, when you pay 150 dollars for a pair of Nike’s Me and Gitr can got to childrens Footlocker and pay a fraction of the cost. LOL
I found out a LOOONG time ago that I should stay in the kid’s section at Sears and such for jeans. Then, after the wife got me watching ‘What Not to Wear’ 3 years ago, I discovered that I should probably get my polos and dress shirts there, too.
I got 2 awesome long-sleeve dress shirts at Kid’s Gap and just roll up the sleeves (I guess kids have short arms). Price= $7 each. Can’t beat that.
Heck no I have a pair of Steve Madden dress shoes that I had been eyeing forever and they were like 90bucks but I found them at a kids Journey’s for 20 bucks. Its awesome!!
This is getting waaaayyyy off-topic, but hey, it’s my blog. 🙂 I have been looking at a pair of nice Dockers dress shoes forever, but the the smallest size the stores carry are a bit too loosey-goosey for my feet and the stores won’t order them for me. I’ve been wearing my pair of Rockports that I got right out of high school for 10 years now. There’s a good shoe.
