Ding 29; Ding 30; Meet Frostr

March 26, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I worked like crazy at concentrating on completing quests this weekend, but I hit the brick walls named Tarren Mill and Ganklethorn Vale. I know I can’t go either place during peak, or even normal hours, so I was left to attempt to quest in Shimmering Flats and Thousand Needles Saturday.

Those got me to level 29 and got Humar to level 27, finally. This morning I woke up in Grom’gol and ran up to Nesingwary to start all of the hunting quests. I was getting griefed by a 31 Dranai Shaman named Lantur that killed me 7 times, but I got the panther and tiger quests done and dinged 30 before I logged for work. It also got Humar leveled to 29, but he has some more killing to do before he gets Greater Stamina level 5 and Growl 4.

Last night I created a new toon named Frostr to see about power leveling a clothie with uber frost gear and spec. I got him a couple of kills away from level 5 in 35 minutes of actual playtime. His counter says 38 minutes though. Darn UI mess.

I am going to stop playing him now until I get Joana’s power-leveling guide to test it out. I should be getting it in the next day or two, although my playtime will be severely limited this week due to evening obligations almost every night.

Hello Frostr, I got on this morning and saw him in the guild. Those 10 levels in Stranglethorn are harsh.

I’m going to see if I can hit 10 in under 90 minutes using the guide. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll pre-plan all of his bags and armor with Deadr to keep his gear as good as possible to take advantage of going Frost.

If I can get to 60 in 6 days (far longer than Joana did it), that is about 2 months of playing and would be a record-smashing run for me.

I heard Joanas guide is more beneficial if ur ahunter because a lot of the quests are near impossible to do unless your a hunter ๐Ÿ˜› but hope the guide is great and worth the money (write a review about it if u could!)

I have the Joana’s guide and yeah – you can ding uberfast with it. If you’re a hunter it’s pretty nice that he points out good spots to run out and tame new beasts for new pet skills and the like. That’s something easy to forget when you’re head down trying to level.

My son and I made a run of the Draenei starting area while I was off this weekend and we cleared all the quests and dinged our characters up to 22 in two long sessions of play. He found out there was a dragon to kill in their starting area and that was all she wrote ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m barely perusing it now, but I sure hope he tells you to stable your current pet first. ๐Ÿ™‚ Humar is my baby.

    Edit: LOL. He does!!
