I didn’t get very far into level 23 last night, mostly at the hands of some PvP jerks out to make people miserable. It started from the moment I logged in. I was all the way up in the North in Stonetalon Peak, trying to get the last parts for Jin’Zil’s Forest Magic (which wasn’t going too good), when I was immediately presented with a level 23 dwarf hunter about 30 yards in front of me. He had red text above his name. We all know what that means. RUN!!
I a Hunter’s Mark above my head before I could even think to run, and his cat was running up to get me. My first thought was to frost nova the cat and get to a mountain and jump. Would you believe that there were no accessible ledges to be found without risking a dead end attempt? It sucked. He chased me all the way down to Mirkfallon Lake before I met some help. He died. I went to Sun Rock Retreat to turn in what I did get done.
Then…it happened again. Someone got bored. I was in the big tent looking for a repair NPC when this Adiroth jerk one-shotted me out of nowhere. He then killed the orc sitting AFK and all of the NPCs in Sun Rock. He was finally gone when I returned after healer-rezzing by my next quest turn-in and finishing up 3 more quests.
I got on Deadr and bought some nice stuff for Frostr and got the gloves enchanted. I got him:
- Thunderwood
- Magician’s Mantleย
- Azure Silk Pants
- Watcher’s Handwraps (+10 Haste rating enchant for PvP)
I keep sinking more points into Frost and have a 100% increase in Frost spell crits and put a 2% increase in Frost damage. Now to work toward the entire Azure Silk armor set, unless there is something supremely better.
5g to the first guildie that correctly identifies Mindkiller’s funny quote: (I can’t believe he has it memorized)
What did you do this weekend?
“Allow me to introduce myself, my name is August Christopher. I was named after St. Augustan, who coined my favorite phrase…give me chastity and give me constancy, but do not give it yet.”
And then here’s the giveaway:
“My name is Bruno Hautenfaust. I was named for a saint who was a very wealthy man. Got wines the women, the whole bit and then explicably, took a vow of poverty and became a hermit. Run off to live in the forest, in the nude.”
I have never heard that qoute in my life. My weekend was good. Short and Long at the same time though Drove friday afternoon for 8 hours to get to Cali for My father in-laws birthday and easter sunday, then left shortly after we ate and drove another 8 hours to come right back home to get ready for work. It was a good weekend though and glad to get away for a few days.
Kinless,
I’m impressed!! Another great one from the movie “The Saint.” Excellent job, and 5g coming your way.
Lance, sounds like a filling, yet driving-weary weekend.
How are things with the in-laws if your wife gives you such a hard time about being a geek?
I get along so good with mine, she’s just Mom and I’ve worked with her dad for 2 years. I consider her Mom 2.0 and will move into Mom 1.5 when my parents move overseas.
We pick on each other in fun and watch the same shows and eat the same food and go to the same church. It’s awesome.
I like them I’m not as close to them as you are with yours it seems but everything is good. I don’t know them as well as I should but that happens when you start dating thier daughter while living in another state. Same goes for her and my family though. I have a feeling though that we won’t ever be that close until I get out of the military. The short trips every now and then suffice for now though.
