Ding 23; Huntr Is Ready for Charred Vale

April 25, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

Ah, yes! That place that is a charred aggro monkey-killing aggro-feasting place of a poopoo-head! I HATE that place! I’m going there anyway. I have 3 quests to complete, and it’s for nice XP. This time, I’m going to kill EVERYTHING in sight so it can’t sneak up on me. I’m lagging a bit behind on the level for where I am quest-wise for the guide. I guess I got some drops before normal, so I didn’t have to kill as many mobs to complete the quests.

I must have died 3 times this morning…yup. Three. So much for uber-ness. Of course, a new UI change like that is enough to distract even the most seasoned gamer. It’s kind of like wrecking your new Porche because you’re admiring the stitching on your leather-wrapped steering wheel instead of looking at the road. I paid the price with 3 very, very long corpse runs. I dinged somewhat early this morning (I guess I was closer than I thought last night when I was playing around with the UI) and got all distracted and pissed at the UI for not being able to see the result when I /played. I finally exited and loaded up Fu-Experience so I could see it on FuBar again. I dinged at 18h 55m according to my wonderfully-informative UI setup.

I’ve got some serious time to make up for all of that fiddling and dying. It took me a good 20-30 minutes to get Aspect of the Cheetah to appear again because I have been using Bongos, but this UI uses Bartender3. Now that I’m using it, I like everything about it except the inability to hover:bind buttons like Bongos can. Most importantly was binding ` to Pet Attack again. Once that was done, I kept trucking despite my adjustments.

I got my first shoulders, cloth ones, from turning in Jin’Zil’s Forest Magic. I need the stats more than the armor, so I went with them anyway. I still have 2 quests to turn in, and then head to Charred Vale.

I’m just a few hours away from passing Frostr, and I’ve only had Huntr since the 16th. I’m quite pleased with that. Now if only we could get all the signatures for Buttered Monkeys. Part of it is my fault for leaving everyone behind to level in Kalimdor. I have enough gold on Butterbanker to create the guild, though. What I am considering is dumping the 4 sigs that I have and re-create the charter with Butterbanker, who will then transfer GM to Huntr after we get the charter signed. Butterbanker doesn’t mind wasting time running around SM, but he is only level 1, limiting his range.

Ok…you know you could always sign the new one, if I went that route? ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah but I am rarely on when you are. I guess I could just sacrifice some sleep and get on real early on a saturday.

    Don’t you worry, there, Lance.

OK people, we need to have a guild meeting in Org to sign the charter.

I put up a call on the forums calendar for everyone to come together.
