American Idol Predictions: Final 4

May 7, 2007 By Gitr 2 Comments

I’m putting in my prediction for this week early since I looked to see that the mentor this week is [tag]Barry Gibbs[/tag]. I checked out his stuff and the Bee Gee’s stuff on my Yahoo! Music and it was pretty easy for me to come up with my answer.

Obviously, [tag]Melinda Doolittle[/tag] is going to have a great night, taking one of the songs and making everyone drool over her talent, and then it gets right down to [tag]Blake Lewis[/tag] re-mixingย a song that rocks the world in a massive way. He’ll do it, just watch.

[tag]Jordin Sparks[/tag] and LaKisha…this is going to come down to style and performance. I think this is the week that LaKisha falls out of favor with people. Barring Jordin not getting the feel for the song or having more obvious performance issues like she had 3 weeks ago, I think that Jordin is going to make it to the Top 3 to get un-voted back for a Blake/Melinda showdown for the Finale.

Voted off Wednesday, pre-show prediction: LaKisha Jones.

That’s it. I’m calling the Finale’s contestants now. What heat are you packing in your heads?

I’m with you on Blake’s remix, BeeGees are verrry easy to mix to IMO, much more so than Bon Jovi and we saw how he managed to hit that.
I also think Lakisha will be the one to exit stage left this week, although it’s a very close call between all 4. I think this is the start of 2-a-nites so each contestant can falter a little on their first and then go with a nag for their second. I’m saying Lakisha from volume alone, when I’ve called to vote for these 4 over the past 2 weeks it’s always Lakisha I’m able to get to first while I deal with the busy signal for the other 3. I think her problem was she got too comfortable too early on as a favorite and when she got hit with some uncomfortable genres she just glided through (unlike Dr. Doolittle). Jordin’s been too consistent and if she doesn’t get in to the top 2 I’d still give her my Most Improved award. So there ya have it, I’m of the same mind as you again Gitr ๐Ÿ™‚
