Paladr Gets a Blood-Tempered Ranseur

May 9, 2007 By Gitr 3 Comments

Thanks to the help of first Ravenkiller, and then Nynave joining us, Paladr got all of the mats for the [tag]Blood-Tempered Ranseur[/tag]. I must say it is heavy and swings like a monster. It may have lower dps than my sword, but the stats make it a true paladin weapon of finery.

Raven and I started out by doing Ragefire Chasm by ourselves and taking down what appears to be Omen’s little brother, Zelemar the Wrathful. No one really gave up much of a fight in RFC, but I will admit we almost died a few times because of the number of adds we got from spawning patrols. We took down 6 level 15-16 elites in one prolonged fight.

Then it was on to Zoram Strand to head to Blackfathom Deeps to kill some mobs in the tunnel leading to the instance. After 3 kills, we had my Corrupted Kor Gem and we headed to SFK with Nynave, who had just logged in. Raventeleported to UC and they summoned me to the meeting stone and we headed in.

It’s either my imagination, thinking we’re good or something, or there is something to be said for those who have played for a while, know different classes, and can work as a team, but we can seriously kick butt. Our only mistake was entering the stables because the horses were yellow. Well, it doesn’t matter. Before we knew it, we had 6 mobs, all level 19+ Elites beating on us. Ravenkiller ran out and Nynave and I had to corpse run. After that, though, the mobs were dead, and the horses behaved as I opened the crate.

Nynave and Raven joined me in going to Silvermoon to get the weapon crafted. I think they liked it, but I’ll let them speak for themselves. Here are my final shots before I sign off.

You damn skippy I ran out. I learned long ago that a mage running who knows his class, will make it out alive if he makes good use of his skills. Besides I hate corpse runs. I got real good at avoiding death on my Rogue. It was a standing joke in my other guild the if Mindkiller was still alive it wasnt a true wipe. Been the last one standing a few times just because i know when to roll out an hide.

Pfftr ifn our fearless leader hadn’t decided to use his AOE threat dealy it would have been cake.
Note to self: 3 level 22-25s have a hard time beating on 19 elites that have stun attacks.

Had a blast and got some flight paths that will help later. That polearm is wicked looking. Very impressive and intimidating.

Thanks to Nynave for the Healin Goodness.

It will be a snap next time we do this for Suprhero. Course we will all prolly be in our 30s before she is 20+. Oh well it will be even faster.I can see a group of level 20s being able to do this quest relativly easy. Just would need a good balanced party. Can you imagine a group of 5 pallys doin it……that would be epic and worth a movie.
