Ding 44; Caliph Serpentsting Is Easy

June 8, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

3d 6h 3m /played time using Joana’s Horde Guide. I remember back in the day, Caliph Serpentsting in Tanaris was nearly impossible to find and kill. I have now killed him 4 times because he give triple Gadgetzan reputation in addition to being the highest level mob in the area. I got everything in Tanaris done except for the Shipping Schedule refused to drop and the 6 footlockers that I did get did not contain the Middle Map Fragment. I’m looking for that on the AH.

I’m off to Feralas for what I know to be a ton of quick kill/drop quests, so I loaded up on arrows and flew to Freewind Post last night.

I discovered that I have placed some of my Beastmaster points in the wrong skill, so the next time I’m at a trainer, I’m going to drop my talents. I’m darn tempted to fly to Thunder Bluff this morning.

I found a great pair of gloves on the AH for 50g, and then realized that I can’t use them to the best of their ability unless I partake in BRK’s pet peeve of being a melee hunter. No thanks. I ‘d hate to become an object of one of his WoWinsider posts because of that.

I got over 50% of the way done with level 44 because I was taking on 3-5 pirates at a time and ripping them to shreds. I have reached a pretty good stride with making sure Tiggr hits each one of them before I heal him. Once the heal starts, usually one or two of them are down, and I can take that kind of beating for a time until he gets another one down and call him back for help. It’s a good system and I pity anyone without a 3k HP 4k Armor tank traveling with them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice work! Rainchaser is back in Tanaris as well. She’s still 43 and just managed to complete her Artisan cooking quest. I’ll be farming pirates tonight when I get back in from work I do believe.

BTW – which skill did you take that you feel like you shouldn’t have?

I don’t remember the name, but it is the one that increases my pet’s dodge rate. I must have been looking at the one below it on BRK’s 40 point guide.

I did end up flying to TB and putting my point in correctly according to him. Then I hearthed back to Camp Mojave for rest. It was only a 5 minute detour, so it’s not going to affect my time too much.

I have been playing Gnome Mindkiller, working on rep, gold and getting my Key fragments. Im up to almost 3k gold. I am a few runs away from revered with CE and I have 2 of the 3 key fragments. I think what got me more into playing him is the fact that Snow can’t play as often, or at all really due to her new job. I think she is getting jealous again of my being able to play while she can’t. I see a long dry spell for her again.
