I’ve been too busy to play lately, anything more than making 20 bags and checking my mail. I completed The Shadow Tombs last night, but that’s all. We had plumbing issues over the weekend and had major cleanup yesterday after I worked 10 hours at the office.
Check out the whole story at my personal blog: Back to the Basics #2: Be Grateful for What You Have.
Did you get to play much over the weekend?
In between watching The Open golf, I started upon Stranglethorn Vale for the first time. It seems quite a meaty area! I have so many quests lined up for there now, I wonder if I’ll ever get them all done (especially at the rate I play).
That was quite a finish. I turned on the tube just as Sergio was making his second shot on 18.
It was great to see someone from this side of the pond win for a change! We seem to have the Ryder Cup worked out, but choke when it comes to the Majors.
Ah even better yet he was Irish, Now i have never been across the pond but being part Irish I feel proud. I dinged 65 toady and have been loving outland will have my epic landmount soon and then the grind and farming for a flying mount. Oh I also tamed Humar the pridelord yesterday it was by pure luck that he was there when I ran by so i decide to tame and make him my pet his name is Fang.
Irish is almost (but not quite) as good as being Scottish! I’m going to start a Hunter shortly. At the rate I level, he may get to taming stage just short of Christmas. Any Hunter tips for me?
The only hunter tip I have for you is to read alot if Big Red Kitty linked to your right his blog is awesome. Yes the Scottish are cool as confirmed by my wife she visited Scotland with a friend that was going to school there and she always tells me stories of the Scottish people that she spent time with.
Oh also Hunters level very fast if you play it correctly you can take out a few mobs at a time.
Burpo – check out all the posts I have about Huntr here. He power-leveled to 50. I usually get a hunter to level 10 in under 3 hours. From there, just keep a cat for a pet and you’ll almost never die. Well, maybe not almost never, but you should be able to go several levels at a time if you’re careful of the situations you get into.
Remember, you are a pair now. Go full BRK tips and check out his First 40 Points in Beastmaster updated post. You live and die by your pet. He will save you many times over, and you can do things that others can only dream of.
As for a real tip, when you send your pet into a group of mobs, make him physically attack each one before you lay in, or when you Mend Pet, the others will come after you.
OH the petattack macro from BRK is nice also it is simple also
/petattack
/cast Hunter’s Mark
That’s great guys – much appreciated. I’ll let you know how I get on when I start (probably this weekend). I should really be trying to level my Mage a bit further, but I suppose a change is as good as a rest.
