Ding 61; Already Ran Hellfire Ramparts

September 18, 2007 By Gitr 17 Comments

I’ll roll this all into one for you today. I get to pick up my first pair of new glasses in 7 years today. I’m done with contacts for now – pretty much only for outdoor activities where glasses will be a nuisance.

I got Huntr into Hellfire Ramparts Sunday night. I’ve added a paladin a level or two above me to my Friends list because he’s always going when I’m in the queue. We ended up with a 64 hunter, 63 paladin, 63 rogue, and a 70 shaman to tank. Our only death was when the paladin pulled one of the guys leading up to the spiral ramp when we were sneaking by after downing Watchkeeper Gargolmar. We ended up taking on 7 at one time, but came out okay with no healer after 30 seconds. ๐Ÿ™‚ TWO Beastmasters FTW!

I was so excited when the last boss fell, I forgot to take screenshots because they both went down sooo easily compared to the others and from my past experiences in Ramparts. Hunter is sooo much fun.

I dinged 61 Monday morning before work. It opened up a bunch of new questgivers that had gray exclamation marks over their heads. Last night I blasted through about 20 quests and got another blue drop: Gauntlets of Purification. I debated amongst my toons and decided to not hold on to them until Paladr hits 61. I’m cashing out on them now while the getting is good. That’s two rare drops in one week.

What have you been up to on your realms? It’s a good time to catch up on your toons around the world. Feel free to post your Armory links and latest blog posts in the comments and we’ll have a big free-for-all sharing session about what’s the latest with the Gitr readers.

My beastmaster just dinged 70 ๐Ÿ˜›

Getting some honor by doing AV and i always finish first in the damage done.

I have no clue what the full epics are doing but my half greenie/blue equipped beastmaster puts them to shame. Id like to thank Fulcrum, my faithful Pride Watcher.

Keep on rollin Huntr, BM spec shines at 70.

Thanks for dropping a line, Tivert. I’m probably going to hit 70 with Huntr before I finish up with Deadr. I’ve never finished 20 quests to fast before, aside from starting out.

To check out what epic’d hunters are doing, go check out Aeigelus.

Personally, I loved turning off the aggro-generating stuff on Tiggr and popping Bestial Wrath every 2 minutes, just for the heck of it. BRK would be proud. By the end of most skirmishes, I was hitting 320dps combined damage.

I critted 767 damage with Arcane Shot last night on a Helboar with a 145 damage bow.

Im a big BRK fan but i will probably never see Karazan and such. Never get more than 1h30 at a time. Wife aggro. /feign death.

By the way, while youre in hellsfire, dont forget to do your Daily pvp quest. For 30
Marks you can get this nice trinket :

doesnt proc often but it has some decent passive atk power and the occasionnal mana is nice too.

for 15 marks you can upgrade your bow for a 53dps +crit +atk xbos :

Things are kind of a mess in my gaming world. I’m pretty much sick of Twisting Nether and everything to do with it. Thus, Rainchaser stays stalled at 64…Sequoia stalled at 62…and me kinda pissed about the whole thing.

On Moon Guard – well – not much progress. Tigerclaw joined a rather large end-game guild – got his enchanting (finally) to 300+ and then woke up to find that the guild dissolved overnight.

No big deal – I have a number of great battleground alts that I was really enjoying (20-29 bracket) and hooked up with a small guild just to have some folks to talk to.

Then I realized that the guild-master and I are at odds on just about every topic. Not a big deal really (since I get along with everyone else.) The problem will be when I get tired of him taking pot shots in guild chat. Since most of them are IRL friends – I know where I’ll end up ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hanging out in Ratchet – drinking with the goblins again and watching the sun set.

    ((oh yeah – great redesign))

    Kinda disgusted at the moment.

That sucks, Tomas. I really do hope you come over in October. Don’t forget, I’ll be getting my new computer for my week off after Christmas. That should lead to quite a few late nights and such, depending on what my wife’s work situation is.

The big thing is to Sunder Armor on anything that breaks free and Taunt as soon as your rage comes available. It’s a lot of running, rivaling that of rogues.

Nice layout! Much less cluttered than before. Grats to the blues, I am one of those who see one blue drop from 1-70..

Guild drama is something we all share it seems.

Otherwise, I’ve finally seen Kara, and gotten some loot. The wife’s one key away from being able to go herself. And otherwise it’s just the two of us living the life.

And BG’s are as fun as ever. (If you aren’t enjoying them then you’re doing something wrong and/or doing them for the wrong reasons.)
