*Another* New UI; MUCH Less Memory Usage

September 26, 2007 By Gitr 3 Comments

I follow WowInsider’s Reader UI of the week and eagerly await every new UI (and drool over every new workspace). Today’s was no different from the norm. I LOVE IT! It even has the added feature of working. Now, a slight disclaimer is that a couple of the items did not load when I ran today because of the patch going to 2.2, but I didn’t write them down, and don’t care to. It works like a charm and I don’t miss anything that didn’t load. One thing of note so far is that I can’t get the buttons on AutoBar to work at all. I ended up creating a few huge buttons on the left side of the minimap to click for vitals.

Here is my before and after memory consumption:

. NICE!

Okay, I’m sure you’re dying for a look, so here it is at 1280×1024 on a 3 year old video card:

List of Addons currently in my folder:

  • Ace2
  • Align
  • ArcHUD2
  • Auctioneer
  • AutoBar
  • Bagnon
  • Bongos2
  • BulkMail2
  • ChatFrameExtender
  • ClearFont2 (and associated font packs)
  • eCastingBar
  • EnhTooltip
  • EQCompare
  • FuBar
    • AmmoFu
    • BagFu
    • ClockFu
    • DurabilityFu
    • ExperienceFu
    • FriendsFu
    • FuXPFu
    • GuildFu
    • LocationFu
    • MailFu
    • PerformanceFu
    • QuestsFu
    • ReagentFu
  • GFW HuntersHelper
  • GFW TrackMenu
  • IgorsMassAuction
  • InFlight
  • Klik
  • LightHeaded
  • LitheTooltipDoctor
  • Lukewarm
  • MrPlow
  • Omen
  • Postman
  • Recount
  • SatrinaBuffFrame
  • SBFOptions
  • SellJunk
  • SharedMediaLib
  • SilverDragon
  • simpleMinimap
  • ShereLoader
  • SunnArt (and ArtPack5)
  • TradeBar
  • Venantes
  • XLoot
  • XPerl
  • XRSย

All of that includes various class-specific addons that I don’t have running all the time. Obviously, I don’t run Klik on my hunter or warrior. I have made an archive of the Addon files if anyone would like to e-mail me a request for my compilation as it stands as of midnight. I’m sorry I can’t offer support, but I can tell you that if you download the wowaceupdater and visit the normal WoW interface sites, you’ll be all set. Most addons should be getting updates in the next week because of the patch. If not, find something else to fill your need. Some things still need to be moved around the screen, and the opening load-up causes a huge gulp at all the work to move things around, but I’m sure you can handle it. Just to be sure, I loaded it on Huntr with his hunter addons, and it came out to 27MB after 10 minutes.

Can you just List all your addons? If not can you E-mail my Gmail. I like the map at the bottom and with the new patch I have had nothing but issues with Latency and Framerate that where not there yesterday.

If anyone wants the addons, I will e-mail you the link to it on my server to download it. It tops Gmail’s attachment limit by 5MB. ๐Ÿ™

I have to say in my own defense that while it appears in the picture that Paladr is out DPSing me, it is only a very lucky moment in time. Warlocks FTW. ๐Ÿ™‚
It is his Blog after all. ๐Ÿ˜‰
