After killing Frostmaw for the umpteenth time yesterday with my new level 33 Blood Elf paladin, I noticed something… strange. Even in death, he kept gripping and ungripping his staff. I felt like I was in a suspense movie and his corpse was going to suddenly sit up and start fighting again. For some irrational reason, I was ready for another fight; maybe they added some new content after 2.2 that I didn’t catch in the patch notes.
Good for me, he stayed dead, because the whole cave had respawned and I was severely out of mana and I sat down to drink. And. The. Hand. Kept. Moving.
Can you find or recall any other mobs that have post-mortem animation?
There are some mobs — I want to say Murlocs — that will periodically blink even after death. I doubt it’s intentional on Blizz’s part.
Thanks for stopping by Eliah!
Now that you mention it, that does sound familiar. However, I was trying to jog my memory about some boss/mob that seemingly just won’t die after it attains the classification of “corpse.” It seems so familiar a feeling, but I can’t put my finger on it.
well now I think thats twice this year you have been linked to on WI congrats the next step is blogging for money like the BRK.
Blog for money? ME?! No…. I would never dream of doing such a thing! For shame…
Buy Joana’s 1-70 Horde Guide NOW!
Lolโฆ.I to wish to shower you with accolades, but not too many. ๐
How much is Joanas guide I might Purchase it when I hit The Korea Town I will be in.
It’s a mere $37.00, which more than pays for itself by saving you 3+ days to level 60. Even if you’re not a hunter, it is a great reference for what order to complete quests with some intelligent discernment on whether or not you can complete a quest at a certain level with your class.
Sounds good I might buy one in the coming months.
I believe that all yeti mobs do that gripping thing, at least Im pretty sure they do. Ive noticed a few others do it as well.
