Paladin Level 20 Quest; The Second Trial

I got to level 20 and was totally thrilled with the questline that I got to go through to get a new spell (which was kind of lame) and the start of a quest for a new forged Rare polearm. I can pretty much guarantee you that you will enjoy the quest called The Second Trial.

First step: hit level 20. Duh! That’s what makes it a level 20 quest, but sometimes the obvious needs stating. Knight-Lord Bloodvalor once again sends you on your way to be tested, this time quite a bit closer. You need to travel back through the]Ruins of Silvermoon to the little building Northeast of the gate leading back to the newbie area.

Pally AOE, Begin!

I started AOEing stuff this morning before work. I went to Stonetalon Mountains and rounded up level 14-16 Ruffians and Assassins 4-6 at a time. I’d Consecrate, use Retribution Aura, and start slamming things with my Judgement of Crusader up. By the second Consecration, some things were dropping or running by themselves. Sure, I wasn’t getting XP for all of that, but I finished the quest in about 3 minutes.

Now to get some points into Reckoning and hit 30 for true AOE damage with Seal and Judgement of Light along with Blessing of Sanctuary. I sooo can’t wait for level 30.

Ding 21; Very Hectic Week

It was a very crazy weekend after my wife’s alternator gave out again. Combine that with the garage sale, shopping for her new work clothes, getting some R&R at the pool, and stuff, that made for a very busy weekend.

In-game, I got Paladr to 18 before we went into The Deadmines and rocked that joint. Naturally, the Deathroom that was the goblin engineering room got us a time or two, but it was smooth sailing after that. Of course, dinging 19 helped a tad. I got upgrades of nearly every piece of armor, plus a sword.

I hit 21 this morning and Paladr is on his way to Sunrock Retreat. He got Dar’Khan before leaving Ghostlands Sunday morning, putting him at Exalted with Tranquillien. I love getting a nice blue weapon in the starting area. 🙂 Not to mention the Exalted cloak.

Paladr is no longer going for a record pace after taking forever to do DM, but he is still scooting along at a far better than average gallop. His level 20 was 15h 25m. I’m going to enjoy playing a pally, and will still follow the guide’s track on quests, but experience all of the Paladin stuff, such as forging the weapon for the level 20 questline reward.

I have a ton of screenshots from the weekend, but a very hectic week coming up. I just got into the office, so we’ll see if nothing is happening. If we’re dead today, I’ll put them up and write more posts. If not, I’m sorry, but work is work.

Huntr Is Shimmering in the Flats

I finished up all of the hunting mastery quests my level can handle last night and he hearthed to Org and flew down to Freewind Post to head into Shimmering flats tonight. I’m really hurting for gold for training and need the drops and mats. Too bad none of them are human mobs to get coin and cloth from. This will be purely for drops and XP.

It’s still a busy day at work, so back to the grinding stone with my nose.

Ding 16; Fallen off the Pace

I got Paladr to level 16 this morning, but he is no longer neck and neck with Joana. 🙁 I guess Paladins are not everything I thought they were, yet…as I have none AOE that I’m going for. No damage mitigation or anything that punishes mobs simply for hitting me and pissing me off.

I have 2 talent points to spend, but I have no idea where to put them yet until I research what the build I want requires. Links to builds are useless to me here, and I don’t surf at home because I’m playing so I guess I’m screwed. Not really, but it’s just harder to find the info. I think I can get all of that stuff today if it calms down here. I’m guessing I need to put points in my armor, but maybe hit chance. I have no idea from this noob perspective, so it’s time to hit the books, so to speak.
