Level 12 Blood Elf Paladin Quest Walkthrough

May 2, 2007 By Gitr 17 Comments

Once again, I’m writing another walkthrough for a class guide for Blood Elves, due to a huge void in the community, leaving everyone to fend for themselves and piece together the process. Here goes:

First thing of note is that the paladin questline does not begin at level 10, as it does for every other class. It’s a level 12 quest, and it begins with Knight-Lord Bloodvalor in the paladin training room in Silvermoon (89.4,35.5). He sends you to a little island NE of Suncrown Village, called the Isle of Tribulations on a quest called The First Trial. On the island is a small cave with just a few wandering Nebulus Guards. You are to kneel at the brazier, meditating.

Don’t even bother meditating, because in runs Blood Knight Sangrias Stillblade to kill you and see if you are Blood Knight material. Of course I am, as I killed him in about 12 seconds. I returned to Knight-Lord Bloodvalor in SM for more questing fun.

American Idol Predictions: Final 6.2

May 2, 2007 By Gitr 3 Comments

After last week’s fundraiser on American Idol, they did not let anyone go. This week, the 2 lowest-ranked singers leave the show to put us at the Final 4 next week. It has really been cool to see the singers come into their own stage presence and give a truly entertaining concert presentation.

I was really impressed with the overall quality of the show, but one person stood out above the rest: Blake Lewis. He really went out on a limb and sangย a song that everyone loves just the way it is written, re-mixed it, and added beat-boxing to it. I was floored, grooving to the beat, and loving his rendition and performance i general. Here it is for your viewing pleasure:

I like all of the singers left, except Chris Richardtimberlakeson, so once he’s gone, I’ll be sad every week to see someone that I’ve liked being in the competition for so long.

My Idol prediction for this week, combining last week and this week is: [Read more…] about American Idol Predictions: Final 6.2

Huntr Makes His Way Into Arathi Highlands

May 1, 2007 By Gitr 7 Comments

I just ground yetis in Hillsbrad until Catr hit 30, I trained him with more stamina and armor, and a wonderful [tag]Deanship Claymore[/tag] dropped off a [tag]Cave Yeti[/tag]. I was having a really hard time deciding whether to equip it or sell it. With the market the way things are, I’m not sure it will sell well. Ah, well, then I went after Frostmaw. Yes, [tag]Frostmaw[/tag] is possible at level 30, despite him being level 37. Unfair, I know, but he wasn’t around for me to whack. He got off lucky, that’s for sure.

Therefore, I turned in other quests and headed for the hills of Arathi. I stopped to kill some [tag]Boulderfist[/tag] uglies and logged off before I had everyone that I needed. I’ll be training up my first aid when I get to [tag]Hammerfall[/tag]. I bought the book for [tag]First Aid[/tag], but the trainer in Org couldn’t offer me any more skills. I have a bit of silk built up, and there will surely be more to come by the time I’m done with all of the Boulderfists.

A New Powerleveler Is in Town

May 1, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I’ve heard pallys are a good solo class, but I was under the impression that they are slow to level. This does not appear to be the case,ย  as I’m now beating [tag]Joana’s[/tag] time by almost 30 minutes at level 12. I got Paladr to 12 this morning in 3h 27m vs Joana’s 3h 50m to 12. His level 13 came after 5 hours. I am about 60% of the way through the level, in Ghostlands, and was somewhere around 4 hours when I logged off.

Slow, my butt.

I haven’t died since that one mistake with those STUPID MURLOCS!! Have I mentioned that I hate [tag]murlocs[/tag]? Anyway, I’ve never even been close to getting it put to me again. Making sure I’m keeping things even, I checked, and Joana has a bank alt and uses them when he’s compressing the video of his run. Therefore, my using Bankr is keeping us on level ground, and I got Paladr some nice armor to equip this morning. I got a really nice dagger from a rare elemental, [tag]Eldinarcus[/tag], but I can’t use a dagger. I put a bid on a nicer sword this morning, but I’m afraid I’m a little tied to swords until Iย go to UC and Org.

I still haven’t trained my level 12 things yet, but knowing what quests are coming up next, I think I will take the delivery to SM earlier than I would otherwise so I can train up a better [tag]Blessing of Might[/tag] and Seal/[tag]Judgement of the Crusader[/tag]. Yay for [tag]Redemption[/tag], too!

Introducing Paladr, Level 10… Beating Joana’s Time

April 29, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I created [tag]Paladr[/tag] earlier last week and finally took him for a spin last night, trying to catch up with [tag]Mindkiller[/tag]’s and [tag]Snowstormer[/tag]’s new hunter alts, [tag]Jolygreen[/tag] and [tag]Shurshot[/tag]. They were level 10 when I logged in last night. They were 11 this morning, and I almost caught up to them. Paladr is at 2h 24m to level 10. YES!! Nearly 1 hour ahead of [tag]Huntr[/tag]!! Not only that, but it is faster than Joana’s own best time in his guide. He hit 10 at 2h 32m. Buy [tag]Joana’s Horde Guide[/tag] if you want to level alts like this. I’ve got them all memorized up through level 10 now, so it goes really, really fast. I died once…stupid, but other than that, it’s been smooth sailing.

I took on [tag]Jewelcrafting[/tag] and [tag]Blacksmithing[/tag] for professions, which will both be expensive, so I dove back into the AH with both of the bank alts. I have Butterbanker and Bankr working hard. Bankr is over 1g now, and Butterbanker should have up around 10g for the guild when everything sells. I’ve enabled money, bags, and inventory on all of my toons in my [tag]RPG Outfitter[/tag] profiles. I haven’t added the link for Paladr or the bank toons yet, but you can get to them by changing the name in the address bar when you click Huntr. I downloaded GuildProfiler again this morning, but didn’t get it installed to export our new [tag]Buttered Monkeys[/tag].

Hooked up with Text Link Ads

April 29, 2007 By Gitr Leave a Comment

I finally got notice last night that Gitr’s WoW Blog has been accepted by Text Link Ads (TLA) after months of being on their waiting list for getting approval. If you want to buy links on my blog, you can get $100 in free links by clicking the graphic at the bottom of the 3rd sidebar or click the link above.

My ad space is pretty cheap, but Liz Strauss said it was a nice start. Actually, she said “Not Bad!!!” Anyway, the little test message will be showing for a while and will disappear when I get some ad buyers. I’ve got RSS ads available for less money, too. I’m grinning ear to ear over this, mainly because this means my Alexa rank is getting high enough to warrent tossing some money into the site.

Ok, enough, enough. I’d best get to work. Have a great day, and please go buy some ads.
