- You would rather get a new computer chair than ANYthing fun for the house, car, or your kids.
- Your keyboard has more macro functionsthan letters and numbers.
- In order to get to sleep, you mentally go to your Start Menu and select Shut Down (Install Updates and Shut Down, if available).
- Your cell phone and PDA calendars are more up-to-date than your last meal is old.
- Your wife calls you when she gets a 404 error on the Internet because you should be able to fix it.
Ding 23; Huntr Is Ready for Charred Vale
Ah, yes! That place that is a charred aggro monkey-killing aggro-feasting place of a poopoo-head! I HATE that place! I’m going there anyway. I have 3 quests to complete, and it’s for nice XP. This time, I’m going to kill EVERYTHING in sight so it can’t sneak up on me. I’m lagging a bit behind on the level for where I am quest-wise for the guide. I guess I got some drops before normal, so I didn’t have to kill as many mobs to complete the quests.
I must have died 3 times this morning…yup. Three. So much for uber-ness. Of course, a new UI change like that is enough to distract even the most seasoned gamer. It’s kind of like wrecking your new Porche because you’re admiring the stitching on your leather-wrapped steering wheel instead of looking at the road. I paid the price with 3 very, very long corpse runs. I dinged somewhat early this morning (I guess I was closer than I thought last night when I was playing around with the UI) and got all distracted and pissed at the UI for not being able to see the result when I /played. I finally exited and loaded up Fu-Experience so I could see it on FuBar again. I dinged at 18h 55m according to my wonderfully-informative UI setup. Huntr Has a New UI
I got a new UI last night because there are some things that I have seen on the UI of the Week on WoWinsider that I really like, but I have no idea what they are. That’s when my natural instinct kicked in: work smarter, not harder. I went to Curse Gaming and found the UI I was looking for as a compilation called All Deuce UI. Here is the UI as I had it when it loaded up last night. I took a shot of it this morning, but it’s not appearing on the server. I’ll do a side-by-side view for you tomorrow, as I moved the bars around and got rid of the 3D portraits.
A Bull, Once Again!
I have been re-admitted to the University of South Florida to continue my pursuit of a B.A. I will be majoring in English with a focus on Professional & Technical Writing. Orientation is May 8th and I’m trying to get re-assigned to enter in the Summer, because they admitted me for Fall entry. Work it dawg!
Anyway, thought you might want to know. I hope it doesn’t affect my game time too much, but it is bound to have some impact.
Business Card Design; My New Venture
After getting some more business card designs under my belt, I have decided to open my doors to selling my services in designing and/or ordering business cards, notepads, magnets, and other business media. I can get the product in your hands in one week for priority processing.
If you are interested in getting your name out on paper or online in some graphically pleasing manner, my services are available by contacting me at petersen.jesse@gmail.com about what you are looking for. I will be coming up with a pricing sheet soon. I also do logo design and set up WordPress blogs with basic templates (custom CSS available). 5 Ways to Keep Having Fun Playing WoW
Now that a lot of people are level 70 already, and they are in the grind for rep and for consumables for Kara, I thought it would be a good time to remind people that WoW is for fun. There are several things that I find very exciting about WoW, and when I’m bored I long for those things. I’m back in the “fun saddle” again and doing all of those things again.
- [tag]Leveling[/tag] – Nothing is as fun to me as hitting another level and seeing that big yellow column blast up around me and replenish my HP and Mana.
- [tag]Questing[/tag] – I enjoy seeing the ? above a head. I can’t explain it. It’s just cool. Plus it’s fun to get new stuff from it that you can’t get otherwise.
- Killing tough [tag]Elites[/tag] – I like marking my skill as I progress in my months and years of playing to see what level I can take down Elites. [tag]Hogger[/tag] anyone? I look up on my blog archives what level I took them down with my old toons and see if I one-upped myself.
- Leveling a [new] [tag]profession[/tag] – I love getting to 300 in a profession (and 375 in FA) and making the best stuff. New professions are fun ways to keep things fresh, especially if you have gold to burn.
- Like #1, [tag]Powerleveling[/tag] – I’ve been there, done that with the classes I know I can play. Now I want to see how fast I can do them. I try to do it without groups, and especially a high-level helper. Huntr has only been in one group: to kill [tag]Kel’Gash[/tag] in Ghostlands.
