Business Cards for Blogs

April 17, 2007 By Gitr 3 Comments

If you are going to [tag]SOBCon 07[/tag], you just might want to bring along a stack of [tag]business cards[/tag] to pass out to everyone. It will be a quick way to exchange information instead of taking out your paper and pen to write out URLs and names, and eliminates the potential for typos.

Here is what I’ve custom-designed and ordered for my trip to [tag]Chicago[/tag]. If you like it and would like me to order some for you, drop me a note and we’ll get the ball rolling.

One Day Blog Silence

April 17, 2007 By Gitr

By now most of you have heard about the shootings at [tag]Virginia Tech[/tag] yesterday morning. It was a terrible thing to happen. No finger-pointing or ranting going on here. Bottom line: people died. Lives were ended, people are in the hospital, and families are hurting.

Join me and thousands of other blogs in a day of blog silence on April 30, 2007. No posts, no comments, no trackbacks. Silence.

How Playing a Warrior Sucks After Priesting for 64 Levels

April 17, 2007 By Gitr 17 Comments

How to die? Let me count the ways…

  • Run out of a mine, thinking you can take the beating.
  • Drop all of your talent points…see what happens.
  • Wait until you get to 1000HP and try to heal yourself.
  • Spam the Bubble key over and over again to deflect damage.
  • Aggro too much and try to Psychic Scream.
  • Hit Bloodrage instead of Execute with 8% health left.
  • Run onto the platform at Telredor in Zangarmarsh before it slides over to the edge.

Try all of these in your first hour of playing and see how happy you are.

A New Home

April 17, 2007 By Gitr 9 Comments

Mind, Snow, and Gitr all scoped out Kargath last night. It is listed as “full,” but they both got in their new Draenai toons. They are Ravenkiller and Pickmepickme if you want them to send you an invite if I’m not online. I chatted with my ex-roomie and he said there are never any queues any more. This isn’t the official move unless you all think this is a good place to stay. I have toons spread across the board of levels, so I can run with you any time. I created a new Draenai hunter…wait for it…wait for it…Draenr. ROFL. I am still open to moving to Kinless’ realm, unless re-rolling with his wife is fun.

I played Gitr last night and this morning. This is where it gets funny. I logged in with 5g to my name. I finally decided to sell off all of my non-dungeon gear for cash and ran to Shattrath City and picked up the Zangarmarsh FP along the way. I went to Exodar to use the AH and am totally in love with how close the portal drops you to the mailbox and AH.

Would Being on a PvE Server be a Push?

April 16, 2007 By Gitr 11 Comments

Now that we are discussing a realm move, it’s time to test the waters again with Buttered Monkeys. Given that we have a few care bears (used with the utmost respect) in our ranks, I’ve been wondering for quite some time how many of you faithful readers would like to join in on the guild fun that we are clearly having together, but can’t stand the PvP atmosphere.

I personally would not choose a PvP realm for a toon had it not been for upper level help from Aeigelus and gang. I rolled Deadr back in August or September and missed out on level 60 material that whole time. By the time I hit 60, most of the guild was between 65 and 70. Now, they are halfway (or more) through Karazan, keyed for all kinds of stuff, and have tens of thousands of PvP kills.

WoW-Loot.com Is Invaluable

April 16, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

If you run instances, you really want to bookmark WoW Loot for frequent reference. The site is set up with every class across the top of the page. If someone wants to run an instance, you can quickly access your class’ loot list and check out what instances have to offer you. Nothing that doesn’t apply to your class gets in the way of your quick scanning.

It’s also great for making your wish lists. Go check it out now and thank me later. Seriously.
