I’ve beeing all over the place and hearing on podcasts about how sluggish Vista is for WoW and applications in general. Even Laike at WoWPodcast is getting rid of it in Goodbye Vista. Then this morning, my dad sent me this link:

Holy freaking cow! I am now the #5 listing on google.com for “american idol predictions.” Visits from American Idol fans made up 1/6 of my traffic yesterday, beating out those looking for Aldor vs. Scryer information. Simply amazing.
What is more amazing is what the heck went down last night. It was a disaster of epic proportions for television programming. To have to vote for all of the good people is all jacked up. You should be able to vote for who SUCKS!!! Sanjaya and Antonella have sucked for the last 3 weeks, and they needed to be outed. To dump Sundance just because people didn’t call, thinking he was a shoe-in is stupid.
I went to bed pretty mad about the Sundance getting non-voted. Haley making it was a joke, too, but it was not as obvious as it was for the boy’s shocker. The voting system needs to change now. Before Melinda or LaKisha get non-voted. It’s the only show in the world where you vote like this.

I didn’t get to play last night because the cable Internet went down. It started with lag (3300ms), then lost looting of DEing items, then lost chats. Boom. Disconnected from server. The modem light was doing the pissy steady blink of trouble. I went to bed at 9:30, still mad at American Idol.
I saw AMAZING prices of dust, essences, and shards. This is the money-maker on BL. I can tell. After a really good article on enchanting I read earlier this week (somewhere, don’t remember where), I don’t care if I can’t make money enchanting things…it’s disenchanting where the money is.
I haven’t looked too high up the chain, but I saw Greater Magic Essences for 1g each, Soul Dust for 5g a stack, and Vision Dust for 9g a stack. The cost of DEing those is a fraction of that. Sweet. I think I’ll be spending a lot of time in Silvermoon running between the AH/mailbox and Enchanter/mailbox.

I have a meeting with my boss and our director (her boss) about integrating my db with the SharePoint site and tracking documents from their contract date onward instead of just their due dates. Yesterday’s new release was a smashing success and I incorporated User Security so we can distribute access to other people in the Company for Read-Only access. (no pictures this time, sorry)
At the end of our quarterly lunch, I mozied over to talk to our VP (the director’s boss) and mentioned my upcoming plans for the db (of which he was made aware of last month) and he was pretty darn interested in developing it further…yeah…let’s make my career do the same thing…
Time to go take care of my nervous bladder and head on over to the other side of the building.

Ok. I suck. I’m at work. I’ve got firewalls out the ying-yang, and I can’t access any information on riding skills in a nice, concise, un-blocked place. What do I need to get a Flying mount at 70? What do I need for a fast flying mount at 70? Should I go ahead and get the fast riding skill from Undercity or Org where I’m Honored and buy a fast horsie first?
I dunno. I’m too busy playing at night 😉
