Deadr Goes to Blood Furnace

I went on a guild run of BF last night, with 2 70s. That was pretty easy going. It really brought down my XP, but I was there because I really wanted to see it and had 2 quests to complete. After that, we ran Ramparts to go for more loot. Let me just say, running with a druid bear tank with 12k HP is awesome.

The run only lasted 30 minutes, so I’d imagine I will be doing it often in the next week or two. I got a great boss drop and the quest rewards were nice. I’m at work today, so I should stick to that. Droods Can Deal Damage, Right?

I had installed DamageMeters this week to get some idea of what my dps is now. It was purely for informational purposes, as I’m not really interested in healing % or damage dealt in 5-man runs. I was flipping through the stats this morning from our run through Hellfire Ramparts and noticed something SUPER odd.

I had done less than half of the healing, but it was because our druid was healing right behind me an awful lot. In fact, he had something on the order of 78% overheal. My overheal was around 24% because I couldn’t aways stop the heal fast enough because of my slow framerate. The heal was over before I could move after seeing that the drood was healing.

Deadr ….::::60::::….

Deadr dinged 60 at 10:55pm EST tonight after a run in Hellfire Ramparts with a playtime of 11days 21hours 37minutes.

I logged on an immediately called out to Aeigelus for a Ramparts run, but there was some miscommunication, probably on my part, that I was wanting to run on Friday. So I put out a call for others to join and immediately got 2 takers, Slickv and Ninjamaster. We started heading there and had Gorelord join us as a 62 warrior. He made it known that I was too low to be main healer and I was removed from the group…that I started.

My Second 60 Is on the Horizon

I’m coming up fast on level 60…just a matter of another 2-3 hours of playing until I get the great ding before the ding of all dings. It will come one week to the day short of one year after Gitr hit 60, only I’m smashing his time played.

Here is a little archive-digging for old memories’ sake. I can’t believe I spent a week or two in WP/EP getting killed over and over and running forever back to my body from those stupid graveyard sites. I really love the graveyard in Outlands. Not a cool thing to like, but helpful, nonetheless.

Hellfire Citadel, Here I Come!

I just read a very nice (as far as I can tell, never having been there) guide to Hellfire Ramparts in Hellfire Citadel. It says that a group of 62+ can easily power through the instance and that it is good for 59-62s. Hey, I’m 59! I’m pretty sure an instance like that would come close to dinging me, too.

I get about 250-300 XP unrested from like-level mobs right now, so I’m pretty sure the XP would be nice in a group killing elite 62s. I have never run with Core before and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. I got in because I’m a fellow blogger of the GM and we ran together in a bloggers’ guild on Sen’jin last year. This whole time leveling Deadr with a bunch of 60s doing PvP and end-game content has been a long and hard-fought battle.

I’ve had power-leveling help at times from Rhone, Boxter, Brym, Aeigelus, Korgg, and Vorenis to get me through some fun quests and escorting me through some of the lower level instances. Man, Wailing Caverns is boring!

Azeroth Warming; Experts Say We Have 10 Years Before Disaster

The high counsel of the Night Elves has concluded their emergency summit on the topic of global climate change and its impact on life on Azeroth. Starborn Nightcaller, the head of research at the Night Elf Journal of Droods, has determined after years of study that the temperatures around Azeroth are on the rise.

His fears about the path the Gnomes were taking decades ago, before the accident in Gnomergon, were confirmed by druidic data gathered from all corners of Azeroth. The impact of this subtle temperature rise will be catastropic according to his calculations. Just Mechanostriders alone produce enough methane and carbon dioxide to affect the environment, let alone all of the other gnomish inventions that spew gasses and leak oils everywhere.
