Ding 20; Starting the Level 20 Quest

February 22, 2007 By Gitr 11 Comments

I haven’t made it back to the trainers yet, but I got to Silvermoon before logging. It’s time for bed to see what neat tricks I’ve learned.

Thanks for all of the support of the guild and blog while I’ve been on vacation. Tomorrow the wife and I are going to the science museum and hitting St. Hubert’s again. Being a skinny dude, I’m really saying something to say I think I’ve gained 10 pounds this week (after putting on 20 since our wedding). YAY!

Because of Excaliber’s tip, I’m going all Beastmaster so far, and put my last point in the Beastial Speed talent.

Bloodr Dings 18

February 21, 2007 By Gitr 1 Comment

Not much going on today, I have a nice post coming later in the day, but for now, it’s just that 18 has come and is halfway gone. I can’t update my profile from here because I don’t have the addon installed on my laptop.

My cat is almost 18 and has 66 training points to spend when he dings.

Bloodr Can Drive, Ding

February 15, 2007 By Gitr 6 Comments

Bloodr turned 16 yesterday. For her sweet 16 party, I got her a strappy leather harness for protection against the big bad mobs in Ghostlands. It’s quite the piece, but I forgot to upload the picture of her birthday party in my mad rush out the door to encounter more messes at work.

How a few strips of leather is going to protect her better against harm than the full leather jacket she had before is beyond me, but man, the guys will be beating down her door for a date now. ๐Ÿ™‚ This whole cross-gender thing is kind of funny now.

Buttered Monkeys to the Rescue

February 14, 2007 By Gitr 16 Comments

So far, I have 8 signatures for the charter that I started passing around last night. There was one dissenting member that didn’t particularly care for the name, so we need to iron that out with a vote before I get the last signature.

It was not easy gettin the charter in my hot, twitchy hands to take around because of the bugged guards in the new cities. I first encountered a guard who was definitely not speaking English, and then the Guild Master was offering me the guards’ usual list of “who do you want to find?” That was pretty annoying, but we soon had server problems and when I came back on, everything was working fine in the end.

Ding, Ding, 14 for Bloodr; Almost Have a Guild

February 13, 2007 By Gitr 12 Comments

It looks like my offer to get some of us together to play new toons on Burning Legion was well-received. We had 5 players on at once last night, and Christine and Scott signed up after I went to bed. Kinless is in Europe, but I’m determined to get him in somehow. Glenn joined us as Mene, the ‘lock, andย was in the starting area with Mindkiller and Snowstormer. I think that is enough to get a guild going.

Now for the name selection. I was pondering this on my way in to work today and was hitting a wall (mentally) on something descriptive without being obvious about what our commonality is. Then I went the humorous route, and that fizzled. I’ll keep thinking about it today, but I am certainly open to suggestions.

Bloodr is halfway done with level 14 and hit honored with Tranquillien in Ghostlands. The first several quests give you +1000 rep, followed by +250 for the next few. I got some nice purchases from the quartermaster:

Bogwalker Boots – Friendly
Tranquillien Flamberge – Friendly
Batskin Belt – Honored

Bloodr Hits 12 and Is Getting Dangerous

February 12, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

Saturday I played Bloodr to level 10 and picked up the level 10 pet training quest. Sunday morning, I tamed the 3 beasts and finally got a level 9 cat to level to 10 quickly. As with most hunters, it is MUCH easier to go once you have your own DPSing tank. It has been non-stop carnage ever since.

I played for an hour this morning and am 20% of the way through level 12 and I am having a blast playing hunter again. It takes me about 5 seconds of combat per mob, plus loot and skin time for beasts, I’m still making pretty darn good time.

Bloodr is already Honored with Silvermoon and has a few quests left to do before moving on to Ghostlands, although I might not in exchange for greater XP for killing.

Deadr is sitting in an inn in Zangarmarsh collecting rest for my next run in Slave Pens.

I will post pictures today, but it’s another busy day at work. Thanks for stopping by. How were your adventures this weekend?
