Almost 53…computer keeps crashing

Every time I go into the cave East of Stonard, my system locks and I come back dead. I don’t know how I’ll ever finish the ghost’s questline this way. Before this, my system was only locking in instances, which is very annoying and embarrassing.

Anyway, I’m 70% through, and only 50K away from the next level. I had a doctor’s appointment today and spent way too long in BRD this morning. I wasn’t getting much XP, and I had been doing just fine with that on my own beforehand.

Tonight is the big game, OSU v UF, and I’m pulling hard for the Buckeyes. I grew up in the great state of poison nut trees, and I will forever root for them. Besides, I will really enjoy rubbing it in on all the Gator fans around here. They are a penny a gross.

Sorry for the short post, but I’m sick. I dinged after running a full Sunken Temple and turning in some of the quests. I still have a turn-in or 2 to do.

I got 9/11 claws and I got the Irontree heart after 3 kills. The Irontree hearts are supposed to be a 1.4% drop according to the databases. Nice turn of events for me. 🙂
I had the best Pug in forever in Mara and got good shoulders off Princess. I’ve updated my profile. This group rocked. It was a mage, shammy, druid, rogue, and me. All like-level, too. I got over 20%XP and got to 99% before we were done with the croc boss. I would have run again, but it was bedtime.

Hypothetical WoW: Can I be leader?

You get into a group for an instance, and somewhere between right away and after getting started, a like-level hunter pipes up and the following conversation ensues:

Hunter: Can you promote me to leader?
Leader: Why?
Hunter: So I can mark targets.

Next thing you know, he has been promoted, and another player drops out of the group, saying “This is bull****.”

Do you drop and look for another group, or see what happens with this new leader. He may or may not be a gold-farmer, or a raid ninja. It’s your call.

Questing makes the time pass, and makes XP easier

I completed 7 quests last night in Un’Goro, and got a really good jump on the Linken questline this morning. Last night, I started with 31% and 9K of rest. After flying to Un’Goro, I headed North to kill dinosaurs that were higher levels than me for more XP. I killed 15 Frenzied Pteradactyls, and a ton of the Elder Diametradons (sp?). In the process of that, I completed Rolling the Bones and Spizzle’s Flyer.

Then I headed around to get all of the Pylons, which were 3950XP each. Around the Western Pylon, I tromped off through Terror Run, which was VERY terrifying, to get the foodstuffs from the expedition quest. In all, last night, I ended with 63% and still had 1K of rest left for today.

This morning, I flew to Felwood and ran to Timbermaw Hold and talked to the questgiver there. I already had Unfriendly status, so I ran through the tunnel without incident. I went to the Hot Springs in Winterspring for the Linken quest, and then ran to Everlook for the flight point.

From there, I flew to Feralas to run to the Twin Colossals to continue the questline. I bought the bait from the camping guy, and got the plant he wanted. He gave me the elixir, and I hearthed to Org to fly to Winterspring. I gave that dwarf the elixir, and she sent me to the graveyard in Tanaris.

THAT was a funny quest. I drank the elixir and died on the spot. BAM! Deadr was dead. I ran North to the guy in the mountain and got back to my body. I clicked the gravestone, and needed to go to Un’Goro again, so I sat in the inn in Gadgetzan to rest while I’m at work. I should have 17K of rest tonight when I play, and I’m at 77% of level 50.

Excaliber tagged me tonight, so now it’s time to give it all up. Five things you didn’t know about me:

I am a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan because of my wife. It has so many references that go over so many people’s heads, I feel good when I get 2 in a show. We only watch them on DVD because watching a season would kill me. (Same as 24) Besides, Luke reminds me a lot of the way I love my wife.
My parents are radio missionaries. They lived in Roatan, Honduras for 2 1/2 years. Back on the day before 9/11 hit, they skipped the country. I went to see them the following winter and went snorkeling in the best water in the world. They are going back for a permanent move in March.
I have never been to California or New York, but I have been to over 30 states.
I was a band and choir geek in high school. The Van Buren High School Choir received a Superior, 5, rating in state competition right before my dad got transferred to Florida, taking me away from a repeat title.
My nickname in Jr. High was Dogboy.
