Droods Can Deal Damage, Right?

I had installed DamageMeters this week to get some idea of what my dps is now. It was purely for informational purposes, as I’m not really interested in healing % or damage dealt in 5-man runs. I was flipping through the stats this morning from our run through Hellfire Ramparts and noticed something SUPER odd.

I had done less than half of the healing, but it was because our druid was healing right behind me an awful lot. In fact, he had something on the order of 78% overheal. My overheal was around 24% because I couldn’t aways stop the heal fast enough because of my slow framerate. The heal was over before I could move after seeing that the drood was healing.

Deadr ….::::60::::….

Deadr dinged 60 at 10:55pm EST tonight after a run in Hellfire Ramparts with a playtime of 11days 21hours 37minutes.

I logged on an immediately called out to Aeigelus for a Ramparts run, but there was some miscommunication, probably on my part, that I was wanting to run on Friday. So I put out a call for others to join and immediately got 2 takers, Slickv and Ninjamaster. We started heading there and had Gorelord join us as a 62 warrior. He made it known that I was too low to be main healer and I was removed from the group…that I started.

Hellfire Citadel, Here I Come!

I just read a very nice (as far as I can tell, never having been there) guide to Hellfire Ramparts in Hellfire Citadel. It says that a group of 62+ can easily power through the instance and that it is good for 59-62s. Hey, I’m 59! I’m pretty sure an instance like that would come close to dinging me, too.

I get about 250-300 XP unrested from like-level mobs right now, so I’m pretty sure the XP would be nice in a group killing elite 62s. I have never run with Core before and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. I got in because I’m a fellow blogger of the GM and we ran together in a bloggers’ guild on Sen’jin last year. This whole time leveling Deadr with a bunch of 60s doing PvP and end-game content has been a long and hard-fought battle.

I’ve had power-leveling help at times from Rhone, Boxter, Brym, Aeigelus, Korgg, and Vorenis to get me through some fun quests and escorting me through some of the lower level instances. Man, Wailing Caverns is boring!

Deadr’s Journey Into Outlands at 58

I have long been saying that I’d be taking Deadr into Hellfire Peninsula as soon as he hit 58. I wasn’t kidding. I was on a bat within 5 minutes of dinging. I only took the time to repair and train up before getting Deadr on a bat.

In this post, I am detailing my journey through the Outlands as of yet. I logged off at 16% of the way through level 58, and it came really, really fast (40 minutes, including getting there). I couldn’t believe how much easier HP is for Deadr than Mr. Level 60 Gitr. 🙂

TBC Instance Questions

Since my WoW resources are so limited at work, I have a couple of unanswered questions that I’m too busy leveling at night to research. Please give the priest a hand and shovel some info this-a-way.

Is it reasonable to think I will be able to take Deadr into an Outland instance at level 58?
Does anyone have the information of what cloth/weapon loot will be rewarded for the first several quests in Outlands? My RPGOutfitter.com just got blocked at work as of this weekend, and I can’t even look up quest names. 🙁
Do the Alliance and Horde quests overlap a lot in the beginning, just with difference bases of origin?

Wish me “luck” in getting to 58 tonight. I’m leaving work after a mere 8 hours to play a while before my wife gets off work so I can try to get to 60-70% before my nightly playing time.
