Deadr is halfway through level 48; attains Shadowform

I had quite a day today. I ground in Feralas, and moved on to the Thistlegrub elementals in Tanaris. It took 2 hours for a Dew Laden Gland to drop from a Dew Collector, but I had already dinged and used my point to get Shadowform. Cool!

Then I wasted the rest of the day in Maradon, but got some nice gear. I’m getting really confident with my healing now. I can sure save the day when I have enough mana. I’m getting good at fading and figuring out who to heal when things go bad. Those that die get pissed, but “oh well,” some people aren’t worth saving when it comes to keeping everyone else alive.

What a miserable day of PuGs in Sunken Temple and Zul’Farrack. One person after another showed themselves to be incompetant playing their class, or dropped out due to either rudeness or needing to go for one reason or another. After 2 1/2 hours of dinking around in ZF, I’d had it and rode back to Gadgetzan to repair and fly to Feralas. Mid-flight, they begged me to come back because they needed a healer. I, sadly, let them summon me. It sucked too.

I’m almost 70% of the way through level 47 now, and I’m still enjoying Feralas. Just before logging, I bought enough runecloth and rugged leather to craft my way from 290 to 300 Tailoring. Ding! 300. I’m happy with that. Now to get to level 57 to wear the good stuff.

ZF 2.0

I ran ZF for the second time ever last night. We did it in under 2 hours and killed EVERYTHING. We were 4 squishies and a warrior. Not just any warrior. Serenity in Chaos has a HWL warrior that was helping out his guildie when we realized that we had no tank. It was 2 priests, a ‘lock, and a mage. I got the Mojo Mask off the boss at the bottom of the temple.

I dinged level 45 while I was standing on the right side railing at the top of the temple during the 5-6 minute skirmish. That was pretty cool. I was eating up XP all night, usually to the tune of 350-380 per kill. I went from 72% of level 44 to 34% of level 45 after I turned in my quests, too. I could run ZF one more time tonight and get another ding out of it.

Is there a tailor in the house?

I dropped skinning with 292 points this morning to take up tailoring. I have lots of cloth saved up and used the guide on tailoring yesterday to figure that it will only cost about 45g to get to 300. I should be able to do it all today, as I hit 103 before logging for work this morning.

My reasoning: get the profession that allows you to make a BoP item or two and drop it for a long-term profession, as alchemy is a good idea to save money on the AH later.

One more profession

I have decided that I will drop skinning and take up a crafting profession. I am interested in several, but I just can’t decide. I have enough money to get going on them. Please help!

  • Engineering: I have never done this past 120 or so. I have seen some cool things, but are there any good priest items that I would benefit from that require Engineering to wear?
  • Alchemy: Potions and Elixirs, DUH! (I’m not too concerned about it, though, because Aeigelus is an Alchemist)
  • Enchanting: I would like some good enchants on my gear.

Uldaman Down

I finally used the LFM last night. I got Wakarathe, a guildie 60 mage, to join me and I found a husband/wife duo of 45s rogue and shaman to join us. We went in the back door and cleaned out the entire instance with no deaths, thanks to Klik. I was back in the saddle again, and I healed in the highest instance yet.
