Ding 23; Huntr Is Ready for Charred Vale
Ah, yes! That place that is a charred aggro monkey-killing aggro-feasting place of a poopoo-head! I HATE that place! I’m going there anyway. I have 3 quests to complete, and it’s for nice XP. This time, I’m going to kill EVERYTHING in sight so it can’t sneak up on me. I’m lagging a bit behind on the level for where I am quest-wise for the guide. I guess I got some drops before normal, so I didn’t have to kill as many mobs to complete the quests.
I must have died 3 times this morning…yup. Three. So much for uber-ness. Of course, a new UI change like that is enough to distract even the most seasoned gamer. It’s kind of like wrecking your new Porche because you’re admiring the stitching on your leather-wrapped steering wheel instead of looking at the road. I paid the price with 3 very, very long corpse runs. I dinged somewhat early this morning (I guess I was closer than I thought last night when I was playing around with the UI) and got all distracted and pissed at the UI for not being able to see the result when I /played. I finally exited and loaded up Fu-Experience so I could see it on FuBar again. I dinged at 18h 55m according to my wonderfully-informative UI setup. Huntr Has a New UI
I got a new UI last night because there are some things that I have seen on the UI of the Week on WoWinsider that I really like, but I have no idea what they are. That’s when my natural instinct kicked in: work smarter, not harder. I went to Curse Gaming and found the UI I was looking for as a compilation called All Deuce UI. Here is the UI asย I had it when it loaded up last night. I took a shot of it this morning, but it’s not appearing on the server. I’ll do a side-by-side view for you tomorrow, as I moved the bars around and got rid of the 3D portraits.
Deadr Goes Questing
Deadr finally got his way up to Friendly with Lower City last night, after completing about 6 more questsย in the Bone Wastes. I got half of the Torgos! quest done, and went to find that evil bird, only to find out that he is a 65 Elite. I’m definitely going to need some help with him. My quest log is slowly filling up with Elite quests that I either need to complete or dump. I feel like a chump asking guildies for help because they are all 70s in Karazan already, so I’ll probably us the LFG feature as I rep grind for Marks for Aldor rep.
I blew about 500g on Enchanting and Tailoring since last Monday. I’m actually improving my gear by doing so, making the expense a little more tolerable. My cloak has +120 armor now and my gloves, chest, and bracers all have nice damage or mana enchants.
Deadr is up to around 50% of the way through the level with nearly full rest still. I’ll continue questing in Terokkar and Zangarmarsh to finish out the level, although the only nice things about hitting 65 will be to put on a new piece of Netherweave and use another talent point.
Deadr: Master Enchanter
I made my way to Moonglade last night and picked up the cloak enchant that I needed for efficient leveling to 300. I got back to Silvermoon AH to buy mats as needed and dropped a bucketload of gold on my Runed Arcanite Rod and got to 300.
From there, I hearthed to Shattrath City this morning and went to meet my friendly neighborhood Grand Master Enchanter. Because I chose Aldor allegiance, I couldn’t stay in SC like everyone else that does their enchanting research before choosing. I hopped on a windrider and flew to Thrallmar.
More Enchanting Down; 295
I bought more weapons and armor last night and got Deadr’s Enchanting up to 295. He needs to get the mats to make a Runed Arcanite Rod (ouch) and get the recipe for Enchant Cloak – Superior Defense. The guide I have says to see Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade, but I suspect I need to go elsewhere to get that for Deadr. She is listed as Neutral, though.
That will cost me 8 Illusion Dust per point, and it goes yellow at 305. I’ll be jumping for joy to get things going for enchanting stuff in Outlands and using those cool rep recipes. Now to work on my reps. Doh!
