Changes to Professions Coming

April 10, 2007 By Gitr 1 Comment

I just read on WoWinsider.com that changes are coming for professions. After reading all of that, the only change I may make to my professions is to actually fish now. I know, I know, it’s a great money-maker, but I just can’t stay awake after 8pm sending out a lure, wait 30 seconds while intently trained on the bobber, and then clicking it IF it moves. While 20 seconds isn’t short, it’s a lot shorter.

Are you going to make any changes/switches in your professions because of the upcoming changes?

Slow Going in Stonetalon Mountains

April 9, 2007 By Gitr 5 Comments

I didn’t get very far into level 23 last night, mostly at the hands of some PvP jerks out to make people miserable. It started from the moment I logged in. I was all the way up in the North in Stonetalon Peak, trying to get the last parts for Jin’Zil’s Forest Magic (which wasn’t going too good), when I was immediately presented with a level 23 dwarf hunter about 30 yards in front of me. He had red text above his name. We all know what that means. RUN!!

I a Hunter’s Mark above my head before I could even think to run, and his cat was running up to get me. My first thought was to frost nova the cat and get to a mountain and jump. Would you believe that there were no accessible ledges to be found without risking a dead end attempt? It sucked. He chased me all the way down to Mirkfallon Lake before I met some help. He died. I went to Sun Rock Retreat to turn in what I did get done.

Ding 21; Exalted with Tranquillien

April 5, 2007 By Gitr 4 Comments

It was a fine time doing stuff all by my lonesome doing questing and following Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide pretty closely. There are a couple of times that I’ve done a quest that I didn’t need to, or gone to a trainer when he didn’t say, but then again, I can teleport. When you aren’t playing straight through, too, you can use hearth more often to fly to a city and then hearth back when he says in the guide.

Kelthias asked me in guild chat last night how I like the guide. I LOVE it! I have all of the maps I need, all the paths to take, all the areas to find kill quest mobs, videos for help, and it’s all in an organized manner to eliminate backtracking.

Where’s Frostr?

April 5, 2007 By Gitr 3 Comments

Frostr hasn’t seen much playing time this week because of all the crap after work that’s been going on. I got him to X-roads and Camp Turajo last night and completed 2 quests this morning. I’m still a ways away from leveling, so it looks like it will be more than 2 hours for this level. ๐Ÿ™

I logged in Deadr this morning to make Frostr a pair of Spidersilk Boots and enchanted them with Minor Speed before sending them away. They were for sale for 12g, but I made them for 8g. Yay for uber alts. He still needs to get the staff from the Ghostlands quest in Deatholme, but I can always teleport now. ๐Ÿ™‚ That may save as much time on the guide as not having Aspect of the Cheetah. I have access to Org, UC, and SM. I believe TB is at level 30 or 40.

Golden Success with Professions

April 3, 2007 By Gitr 7 Comments

I finally got off my writer’s block and came up with something to get some conversations going. Lemme rev up my morning engine and see what comes out.

Yesterday I logged in after work, but before the evening rush and noticed about 30 stacks of Netherweave Cloth for under 5g each. I snagged them all. Yeah, 150g in cloth. I checked the current price of Netherweave bags and saw 6 up for 16g each, which is about 4-6g too much.

I pounced on the opportunity of the low cloth price and the high bag price and churned out 20 bags andย 2 Primal Mooncloth. [Read more…] about Golden Success with Professions

Ding 19; 2 Elite Ghostlands Quests Left

April 3, 2007 By Gitr Leave a Comment

I am at 72% of level 19 and have 20,100/21,000 reputation for Tranquillien. Mindkiller joined me for some double-mage fighting in Deatholme. I’m tired. I’m happy. Did I mention that I’m tired?

I really don’t have much to say now, except that I was considering pulling an all-nighter, but I should do the smart thing for the bod and get some sleep before my brain cells shut themselves down sometime around 10:00 in the morning, never to come back online again.

I can’t wait to hit 20 and want to see what those spells are, as I’m saving it as a surprise for myself when I get to the trainer.
