Is there a tailor in the house?

I dropped skinning with 292 points this morning to take up tailoring. I have lots of cloth saved up and used the guide on tailoring yesterday to figure that it will only cost about 45g to get to 300. I should be able to do it all today, as I hit 103 before logging for work this morning.

My reasoning: get the profession that allows you to make a BoP item or two and drop it for a long-term profession, as alchemy is a good idea to save money on the AH later.

I pulled off my modification today. I’d go into the details, but I don’t want to put anyone to sleep. It took about 4 hours of intense trial-and-error after 2 hours of trying to figure out how to avoid the problems I had at first.

What are your plans for the expansion?

I got a gift card to Best Buy yesterday, so I am pre-ordering Burning Crusade with that. I had initially thought I would take the 16th off to sit outside the store at 8am and get the game when the store opens, but I have since re-thought that.The 16th is a Tuesday. That means it is server maintenance day, and the servers likely won’t come up until noon-ish. When that happens, everyone from Maine to Oklahoma will be home with game in-hand, waiting for the realms to be brought back online. I am predicting the biggest crash since they opened the gates earlier this year.

No thank you. I will take a vacation day on the 17th and actually get to play all day. My wife thinks it’s silly, because I can just play in the evening. But that’s really not true, because evenings are filled with spending time with her, eating, and getting to bed by 8 or 9pm. Vacation. January 17th. Yup. That’s what I’ll do.

One more profession

I have decided that I will drop skinning and take up a crafting profession. I am interested in several, but I just can’t decide. I have enough money to get going on them. Please help!

Engineering: I have never done this past 120 or so. I have seen some cool things, but are there any good priest items that I would benefit from that require Engineering to wear?
Alchemy: Potions and Elixirs, DUH! (I’m not too concerned about it, though, because Aeigelus is an Alchemist)
Enchanting: I would like some good enchants on my gear.

Feralas is marvelas

That is, if you don’t get killed. I made it to Camp Mojache last night and picked up 4 quests before I logged. This morning I flew to Orgrimmar with a shrunken head and flew back to turn it in. It looks like Feralas should keep me busy for quite a while, so I think I will make Org my hearth again.

I should get some stuff posted today, but my big project is my new theme for the blog. With the benefit of hours upon hours of contemplating what my wife doesn’t like about most blogs, I hope I have things figured out. I honestly have no idea if I will get done with it today, or if what I am attempting to do is possible with my coding experience.
