Priestr is coming along

March 3, 2006 By Gitr Leave a Comment

I played Priestr last night because FoA was already full for their run on ZG and I didn’t feel like doing anything waiting for WSG or just plain not leveling my newest alt.

He started the night at around level 5.1 and finished up quests in Elwynn Forest all night. He finished getting gold dust and large candles, exploring Jasperlode mine, running to Stoutmantle in Westfall, finding the dead soldiers… there has to be more, because that doesn’t take you to level 9… Shoot. I just ruined the ending. I stopped playing with my eyes closed more often than open at level 9, just shy of Resurrection.

Oh, yeah, at level 7, I found a level 9 warrior near the western keep and got the Hogger quest and asked for help. We were both agg monkeys there, but I was able to heal him long enough to let him fight off 3 or 4 gnolls until one of them beat me to a pulp. We found Hogger and killed him on the first attempt. That is the first time I’ve killed him WAY below level without using any help at or above Hogger’s level.

At level 6, I think, I got Shield, aka Bubble, and discovered that it is NOT hard to level a priest. I could go into any fight of 2-3 like-level mobs and safely bubble, fight, renew, fight, rebubble, lesser heal, and finish them off. Those tactics worked very effectively until I kept trying to get “The Collector” in the Brackwell farmhouse. He has 2 adds that I just couldn’t stay alive against because they are all 10s. The bubble wouldn’t last long enough to get another heal off because with 3 hitting me, the 45 damage it absorbs didn’t take long to get depleted.

I really want to have Rez before I get a run through Deadmines because I’ll be doing it at level 10 or 11 and will most likely die at some point. I think Inebriate will try once and then let Tox try and see which one is faster and safer. Priestr pretty much wants the exact same drops and rewards as Lockr.

It was a good night and I’ll get him to level 10 in fast order this evening while my gf is studying for 3 exams next week. Poor thing works Saturday, we’re busy on Sunday, and then she has an exam on M, T, and W with work Tuesday morning to boot.
