It was a pretty bad night last night. I totally wrecked a friend’s laptop when I tried to hook it up to his workgroup at home. Normally that is a huge DUH process…except he was still logging in using the domain at the office. ooops
Nothing worked. I went off the clock because I’d obviously made a serious error and I didn’t want him getting mad. After an hour, he offered to let me take it home so he could eat dinner and give me all of my resources at home.
I went home and totally ruined a new recipe we clipped and had to force ourselves to eat it. The meat was good, but everything in/on it was just not doing it for us.
After doing a search, I discovered I’m in good company. My search yielded a lot of hits.

That makes me feel better, but I’m still in a bad situation. Eventually, after geek upon geek just saying,
“Log in a local Administrator,” I came upon a Microsoft guy that said that you need to log in as <domain>/<username> and the password. This is because, as I discovered using a Linux password reset tool that ALL the accounts on the laptop were locked and disabled. Clearing the password doesn’t do jack because it is still trying to connect to the domain despite that option being visually diabled because of my setting change.
Let’s see if it works. If not, and I haven’t posted in 3 days, look for my body in the bay.

I’m still working on getting the colors the way I want them in select areas and I’ll work on the headers later today. We’re totally slammed at work and I NEED to get about 800 pages edited and build the TOC.
Yeah the site looks great I was gonna say where are the headers but you have that under control. I did not get an error so that is good.
